I can't do clear... I always keep an unsightly sheet of metal in my case for the magnetic mount in my car.oh I thought about getting that but I wanted clear
Can you comment on why Apple's version is better?Wish you all luck with this upgrade cycle. Shouldn't be too difficult this year since hype doesn't seem to be too crazy for this iPhone.
I'm forever done with TMO's antiquated upgrade system though--went w/ Apple's program last year and I'll never come back!
Yeah that's the set up I chose to live with also. There are some nice cases out there with clear backs but the ugly metal plate prevents me from picking one up.I can't do clear... I always keep an unsightly sheet of metal in my case for the magnetic mount in my car.

Might be the first time I go through apple but still trying to convince myself I actually NEED to upgrade from the XSBetter is subjective, I guess. Personally, I hated having to make a phone call to order a phone. Not sure if it’s still that way, but on JoD I had to call in in the wee hours of the morning on release date. Then I had to hope the rep got my order right—one time they placed an order for the wrong device, causing me to have to place a new order and move to the back of the line.
Also, I hated the waiting game with TMO after ordering. With Apple I have a date and 99.9% of the time they meet that deadline, and often beat it.
Most importantly, the down payments got out of hand, IMO. I get that in the end you’ve paid the same amount if you actually keep the phone for 24 months. But as someone who upgrades yearly, it didn’t make sense to put down so much upfront. With the iUP my total upfront was $115 this year. JoD would’ve been $350.
Also, payments include AppleCare+, which is one less thing I have to take time to buy.
Decide if you are willing to pay in full. That will help you decide between real use need and a fleeting forum itch.Might be the first time I go through apple but still trying to convince myself I actually NEED to upgrade from the XS
Usually getting from the carrier means shipping within the states. Ordering from Apple usually means shipping from China.I ordered an 11 for my mom through T-Mo (and trading in her 7 Plus). I ordered myself an 11 Pro directly from Apple; both are going to my mom's house. Any ideas on how to tell which package is the one ordered from T-Mo vs Apple? Will the T-Mo order be "shipping from T-Mobile?
I want to pick up mine at a UPS CC in the morning as I have plans in the afternoon, but leave my mom's to go to her house since she'll be home.
Well "full" after trading in my iphone.Decide if you are willing to pay in full. That will help you decide between real use need and a fleeting forum itch.

AppleCare + (separate from the standard 1 year warranty and 90 day phone support ) does not come with the phone. You have to purchase that separately. You have 60 days from the date of purchase to do so. You can purchase through your phone or online.Ordered a new black iPhone 11 straight up from Apple this morning. That one should arrive 9/20. No issues.
Then, tried to do the online Tmobile $350 off trade-in offer but for some reason it kept rejecting my wife's iPhone 7 plus 128GB trade in. Went to the local store and the guy said we were only one of 5 upgrades the store sold since the announcement, and one was his. He processed the order for the green iPhone 11 128GB just fine. Had to pay $20 fee and $66 taxes on the phone. The estimated ship date is 9/25/2019-10/1/2019. Rep said he thought we'd get it on release day. I wasn't believing that, but I returned home to see it says it has shipped... go figure.
Anyhow, here's the question. I asked about buying AppleCare for the phone. He said that it came with Applecare and I don't need to buy it. That sounds like BS to me, so thought I'd ask here what the deal is. I'm guessing I need to buy Applecare from Apple when the phone arrives, but not sure why the guy would say it comes with it. I don't subscribe to any loss/damage insurance through Tmobile currently, but it made me think maybe it's required with this program or something? I don't see anything I signed indicating I am paying for it.
This question reminds me of back when the only people who had smartphones were "business" people.1) Does your current phone meet all your needs?

He must have thought I’m JoD, but I’m not. Will get the AC.

Better to stick with Apple directly. Assurant will use whatever parts to fix a phone. That means they may not be Apple OEM parts.https://www.t-mobile.com/devices/phone-protection-plans
