So what’s everyone getting?

I’m super excited for the 11 and the new cameras and so glad the purple rumors are true! That’s gonna be mine!

I wonder if T-Mobile will have any deals. Most likely it’ll be $0 down since it’s a cheaper one?

11 Pro!

Which of these 3 options would you go with?

  1. Activate my iPhone
  2. Buy a new iPhone and select T-Mobile
  3. Buy a new iPhone and select activate with any carrier later?

Just realized I won't be doing #3, as that removes the ability to pay 0% interest monthly with Apple Card.

So really, I guess my question is what's the difference between 1 and 2?

There isn't a difference between activating on TMobile or not ?

So how does the 0% work thru Citizen's One?
How do I RE-APPLY for Citizen's One loan I had finished 2 years ago ?

I hope it’s $0 down for the 11! I like the purple, it looks like a cross between lavender, white, and silver...kinda.

Does anyone know if T-Mobile has prices up for them all? The app on my phone is lagging so I haven’t been able to really look into it.

No info on pricing yet for T Mobile on EIP or JOD that I've seen.

Hello again, September friends! I'm back for another year of your stories, frustrations and eventual phone deliveries.

Personally I'm not sure if I want to make a change from my XS. I'll need to wait and see what pricing looks like for JoD. If I can get a zero down deal, I'll jump on board. Otherwise, not worth it for me.

The more I look at it, the more I feel like I may just go with the Pro instead of the 11. Hmm...

I’m sitting out on upgrading this year. The only thing that will get me to upgrade is if the Qualcomm modem is back in iPhones. I’ll just follow the thread like I do every year and hop on the upgrade train next year.
There is a few other threads about what modem is in this years iPhones and they all say it’s intel which those suck but I hope the new R1 coprocessor can make the gps work properly

I have to admit, after watching the keynote, I immediately want the Silver or Gold 11 Pro Max. I can upgrade now with Jump!, but I’m going to wait to see the reviews to see if the reception improves this year. I definitely don’t want to jump into another iPhone with crappy reception.

Does anyone know if I can trade my XS max, which is on jump on demand, into Apple to finance new phone? Thanks.

You cannot because you don't own the phone. JOD is a lease program, so the phone has to be returned to T-Mobile at the end of your term or when you Jump. You can of course pay the remaining balance (likely far more than the phone is worth) on the plan, and then you can go to Apple, but I'd not recommend incurring that much cost.

Our other phone is on EIP, and paid off. However, my credit sucks. Score under 600. Do you think I could get financed on that line through Apple?

Unfortunately due to the secrecy behind their underwriting guidelines and the magical ingredient mix in each person's credit score, there's only one way to find out---you'd have to apply and find out.

If I didn’t get approved, I could always just T-Mobile financing approval.

When does T Mobile not want a huge down ?
Do they always make everyone put a down ?

I got the pre-approval from Apple / Citizen's One for 24 months but they want the taxes paid upfront.

Ugh. Since I need a Sim to activate and I got rid of it because of e sim, Is there a way to get a new one in stores? Will they charge me.or they can waive fee?
[doublepost=1568174736][/doublepost]Or can apple give me a new sim card for TMobile?

Day after the event, T Mobile has a less than stellar way to entice customers to get the new iPhone - boring contact info requested to get this:

Gee I wonder if they will do something awesome on pre-order day ?
Probably not....

Actually, it's almost always worth it to buy it out & sell it. I havnt given back a single JOD iPhone back to Tmobile. Not worth it.

I've had a mixed bag here. Sometimes it is, and sometimes it isn't. Don't forget about the costs of selling/shipping/Swappa's cut, Paypal fees etc. It often makes it closer than it would be if I had a local buyer ready and lined up. I guess one just needs to do the math each time and make the best choice.
