Haha...honestly they done a good job with Win 10. I think Gaming led them into the real world away from all that Balmer suit and tie corporate office ****.Windows still sucks though

Neither in DP4. At least for PCIe cards. Curious what USB-C MacBook ASP would say. XHCI driver was updated in this build.
It's APPLEXHCIPCI but the MacBook isn't XHCI 1.1 spec
Uh, I thought that MacBook is... my bad.
I meant XHCIPCI, it was updated along other XHCI kexts.
But still no drive connected to ASM PCIe card is visible and still only USB 3.0 in ASP.
I have serveral maxed out cMPro s -- but in May I bought a PC with I7-5930 Prozessor, AS Rock Mainbord (X99 Extreme 6/ac, SM951 ssd, ..., silent case)
in the end - this pc is with windows 10 much better then any Mac I have
ssd at full speed (2100...), usb 3.1 no problem, thunderbolt no problem, usb ports on top of the case- so easy to put somthing in, 4k 60 hz mst works on my 4k Panasonic TV like a charm - even the bios shows up, ....
it is so good to be able to use the best pieces of Hardware and Software (Windos 10) wihtout problems
Are you using 10.11.x? My USB3.1 was fantastic in 10.10.5, I can get about 635MB/s read/write.Never had problem with Asus in slot 3

But all of that went to sh*t, with 10.11.x...
I'm cursing as OS 10.11.x now
Doesn't say whether it's the 5Gbit or 10Gbit version of 3.1 so probably gen1.Hey all,
Most of you probably saw this on MacRumors earlier this month, but just in case anyone missed it: there is an officially mac supported USB 3.1 / eSata combo PCIe card coming soon from CalDigit.
http://www.caldigit.com/USB-C/
Scroll down past the TB boxes to the PCIe card. Looks very promising, although it seems like OS X hasn't enabled true USB 3.1 (gen2) speeds yet in El Capitan.
Thanks for keeping any news on this topic coming.

We have spoken about that before. It's very dishonest or misinformed for any of these companies to say this when the OS won't support the chipset properly. Or in El Capitan's case devices won't even connect. They should provide the card's full specification including which chipset they are using instead of just a brief description and a pre-order button.Yeah I wondered about that too, especially because their comparison chart makes no mention of Gen 1 vs Gen 2.
However, if you read the whole description of the PCIe card offering it does actually mention 10Gbit speeds:
"The FASTA-6GU3 Plus utilizes 10Gb/s USB 3.1 ports that are also compatible with USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 devices."

The card was still working as a USB 3 device until PB2, but a bit unstable. From PB3 onwards it was no longer possible to connect any USB devices.
I decided to drop El Capitan today and return to Yosemite. I'm surprised you got that speed. What drive did you attach?
Please do let us know if any El Capitan update changes things. USB 3.1 should be coming to Macs imminently but I have no idea if they will implement full XHCI 1.1 or just enough to support the Intel Thunderbolt 3-USB driver.I have a portable USB3.1 RAID0 there are 2x mSATA in it configured as RAID0
