If I did an "Upgrade and Return" with Verizon can I drop the return phone off at a corporate store or do I have to ship back? Always scared of shipping an expensive phone back by UPS ground.
I would go into the store and ask. I felt the same way with Apple, and tried my luck today. They accepted my trade in and processed my credit. I didn’t even feel comfortable sending it through ups to Decluttr. These phones are too expensive for them to end up “missing” and I don’t have the time to fight back and forth with Apple nor UPS.

Verizon and Apple should just let people return their trade ins in store vs the mail. These phones are getting more and more expensive, and carriers are not trustworthy to steal them. I even felt nervous having UPS deliver it, since my Verizon Ultra was stolen last year.

Let the fun begin, when I preordered the new iPhones, I ordered my spouse a 15 Pro 128GB phone. It should have been a 256GB. The Verizon rep said the Verizon store in the next town over has them, but of course they close in 5 minutes….ugh. I’m in the dog house…..lol

I’m hoping, all the rep said was the store had them in stock. He doesn’t care what color as long as it is 256GB. We have a 11am appointment…..im crossing my fingers. I told the rep I made a 50 buck(restocking fee) error.
My fingers are crossed that you can make the switch and hoping your spouse will be happy after all of this.

You should be able to as long as it’s unopened. The only thing is you have to return it in 30 days and pay a $50 restocking fee.
Seems like $50 restocking fee is not applied when the phone is returned unopened. verizon.com/support/return-policy (3rd point)

Well that’s good, do you have an ETA on the webpage for your order? Mine actually moved up sooner, it had said Tuesday but now it is Monday. I wish it had shipping on Sunday lol! It will definitely be worth the wait, you will be glad you didn’t settle!
Nothing on the Verizon app yet. My wife’s has already come in, but hers is just the regular 15 so that was expected. I’m hoping it will be in sooner, but I’ve set myself up to expect it when he says with the hopes of being pleasantly surprised. Where on the webpage does it normally show up? I don’t typically pre-order through Verizon, always just gone to the store on launch day, lol.

For what it's worth, my local corporate Verizon store accepted my 12 mini trade-in yesterday without really any question at all. The bigger obstacle was actually getting my wife's Galaxy phone/watch upgrades taken care of (she is NOT a Apple fan, lol).

That’s great. I had a great experience trading my iPhone in store vs sending it through UPS. They processed everything at the store and I was on my way.

I recall on the app you have to go to account section, then at the top it shows your order and status. Webpage go to account overview and it should display it towards the top as well.

Thanks. Nothing showing yet, but we got a tracking number and email for her phone and it was delivered. I wonder if they’re waiting to show it until both are on the way since I told him we would get them together.

Verizon had a system glitch which caused them to lose my preorder - They had to redo my preorder and my Blue titanium is currently set for October 13th.
You should check the local stores, probably will be able to get sooner.

How did you find out they had a glitch? Did they reach out and call you? Wondering if it was just a one off or if it could have happened on mine as well.

I found out when I saw the verizon app/website had a big section that read: “Order on hold, fix your payment please.” Then we called Verizon and after going through few representatives, the final rep basically said, “sorry about that. This happens every time a promotion happens.“ In other words they were not prepared for too many people signing up, it overloaded their systems, causing a lot of orders to be on hold/cancelled. It happened to my friend too.

See? They had to cancel that order and redo it.
