Carrier Verizon raising grandfathered unlimited data plans by $20

I received the notice even though I'm under contract, but it said if you are currently in a contract it won't apply until yours runs up
 
Check your most recent bill. A statement about the upcoming increase was on my bill for this month. I have not received a separate notice.

Yes. My billing cycle ended October 18th. Got the notice in the Verizon billing. But like the leaked web articles stated. It doesn't affect those under contract.

It's on the first page of my Verizon bill and also last page of my Verizon bill. But i already renewed October 9 2015. My contract ends October 9 2017. So those under contract are not affected. Here are the snapshots of Verizon telling people of price increase.

Yes you will, everyone gets the notice when they login to my Verizon unless they have a corporate or business account. It's a generic message that says if you are under contract it won't apply, otherwise the cost is going up by $20.

Ah corporate or business accounts exempted. Have a corporate discount wonder if the exemption is under that umbrella.
 
There's just something unsettling about the wording. It says we won't get an increase if we're on a 2 year contract. What about the people who have, and are still in, a 1 year contract from promotions?

How can people have a two year contract and if unlimited data was no longer available since 2011. If I'm not mistaken ?

I received my bill October 23 and it did not include this wording
 
Just got this upon logging into my verizon.com account.

If you were like me, a skeptic, well…it's happening lol.

If you can, get into a contract before the 15th. There are posts here on MR or elsewhere that detail how to get an upgrade and keep your unlimited data.

My new contract end date with verizon is now 10/13/17. Well worth the savings IMO.
