***** I verified that I can still buy a subsidized phone on the line that was extended with the 100 bonus minutes.

Yes. I had the 100 bonus minutes added on our 2 lines on Monday extending us for a year and we are qualified for a subsidy.
I searched for an answer to this dumb question, but could not get any results so here it goes.... I have a year left on contract with an option to upgrade to a new phone. If I choose to do the Best Buy method and succeed with an upgrade, will the 2 year extention be added on with the 1 existing, bring me to a 3 year contract? I already have a 6s+. What I plan on doing is getting a free phone just to do an extention.

Does the 100 minute bonus work for family share lines? We have the nationwide talk 1400 minute family plan. Thanks!

I went to Best Buy store to pickup 6s plus I was forced to ship to the store. As expected they required activation. I requested the low level employee call someone to get an exception and she said the only number he has is the toll free number for sales. I had him cancel my order and refund my money.

I called Verizon last night and added the 100 bonus loyalty minutes and extended the contract 1 year.

In the end I got what I wanted on the two lines I have. 1 phone shipped to my house from Best Buy, sim swap, and I'm good. Line 2 got locked in through loyalty plan.

U don't have time to order the 6s plus from Best Buy.

That's why the links we posted said never ship to store. Never involve the store.

The 6S plus is obviously in higher demand but time is of the essence now.

Take what u can get to renew the contract.

That's why I order the 6S regular.

it works but each member of your family has to call for there line to be added.

also i found a way to do a 2 year contract without doing an upgrade at best buy. first i give the tip to everyone here about the 100 min then i found another way to extend my 1 year 100 min 1 year contract to 2 years contract. i'm good to 2017. all thanks to my buddy who works at Verizon.

One of my UDP lines is up for an upgrade. My second line is not up for an upgrade until next month. How do you transfer the upgrade to the second line on Best Buy? When I try it tells me that the second line is upgradable next month and does not give an option to transfer the upgrade. Any ideas?

I already did the phone thing but I wondered about this too. My guess, you'd still have to do the work around to keep the same data plan.

Yes use the Best Buy method for your udp line online.

I could have transfer the upgrade myself.

But time is at the most important.

You are running out of time to renew ur contract.

And u most likely cannot get a 6S plus because Best Buy requiring in store pickup.

Time is of the essence. Do the Best Buy method.

Good for you! What model did you get and how much did you pay?
A Note 5 32GB lol

It sounded like you knew what you were doing, but I would never have shipped it to the store in the first place. That's just asking for them to accidentally activate it or something. If you can't ship it to your home, you're better off just cancelling it and trying again.

so you called and asked for a $5 talk, text, data discount that lasts 2 years? This also comes with a 1 year commitment? Seems odd.

this is what buddy added for my account to extend my contract for 2 years

this promo comes as two year commitment it cancels the other one out

if my buddy had known about this promo before we would have not used the 100 min a month for 12 months promo.

Long day but I got my iPhone 6s up and running and it appears like a success. I originally checked my account when I renewed for a two year plan and it said I was good until 10/2017 for UD. Ordered the 6s from Best Buy. Swapped out sim cards with my iPhone 5 and all seems well. Not sure if there is any other way to confirm but it feels good to go. Thanks to everyone for their great advice. Hope a lot of others can also benefit. PS - I picked up the tech21 case at the Apple store. Very nice :D
