Just that they were able to avoid the $20 price increase for 2 years by getting into a contract. This price hike by Verizon is nothing more than to line their pockets further. If AT&T does this with my Unlimited Data plan I'll do the same thing that the OP did to avoid it. Even if it is just for 2 years.While I'm not one to side with giant corporations increasing their profit margins even further for no good reason... those complaining about this price increase need to really take a step back and realize that, even at $50 a month for unlimited data (plus whatever voice plan they have), they're still getting a heck of a good deal and should be grateful they have unlimited data plan that can be used for tethering anywhere they go on a strong nationwide network.
Verizon could easily just say "**** you guys!" and simply end the unlimited data plan, losing your business in the process, without even batting an eyelash on their quarterly profits. They don't need you, you need them (and this plan). Be grateful you simply have what you do instead of complaining about a marginal price increase.

Not thin skinned at all. Just didn't see the point in calling out the OP for this when all they were doing is letting others know how they could save $20. AT&T throttles you Verizon doesn't
Yep, on AT&T unlimited you will have 22gb of data no questions asked but after that if you're on a congested tower you will get throttled for a brief period of time until you either move to a new tower or the congestion subsides.
Verizon was actually looking to do the same sort of 'network optimization' policy earlier in Oct 2014 but backed off for the moment. That's not to say they won't ever bring it back in the future though...
The other downside is that, well...it's Sprint.

I though Verizon 2 year contracts are no longer available via Apples website?The Best Buy method also works using Apples website and Apple ships phones faster too. The process works the same.

Yeah, I just checked and I see that Apple is doing 2 year contracts with Verizon. The woman I work with said a Verizon rep told her that they no longer allow 2 year contract discounts and that she would have to do their EDGE program instead. I'll have to let her know that she should go though Apple for her upgrade instead.I had no issues doing it
I missed out on that and I'm scared to try to Best Buy upgrade work around.Last year when people ordered the iPhone 6 there was a glitch on the apple website, and it gave the option of the UDP with verizon. Verizon honored the glitch.
