I observed these days that one of my connections in my viber record obtained images which I did not put there. It is my house get in touch with. I cant remove the image, it keeps returning. If I remove the get in touch with it erases it from my iPhone record too. Does this mean someone compromised into my viber consideration. I discover this invasive. I reside in the UK. Any help would be valued.

This is an official Viber representative.
At this stage, Viber is officially compatible with iOS4.3 and above, and that is why it is currently not possible to download it from AppStore.
We are planning to make an older version of Viber available (in AppStore) for users with older iOS versions, but we are still not sure exactly when this will happen. Note that upgrading your iOS is also an option that will allow you to download and install Viber again.

I get texts from my daughter and sometimes they come with Location Pins, these often display that she is in places near, but not where she should be.
I notice that often there are Pins and this may be when she is on a wifi network? is this correct - no pins on a wifi network, but pins on cell network.
My Q is - are there are pins when she is messaging over the cellular network and not when she is on wifi?
If this is the case then when she says she is home, but there are pins in another location, (not to far away, maybe a mile) this means she is on the cell network and not at home at all?
Also how accurate are the pins
Just a bit concerned as its her last year of school and we want to make sure she stays on track.

Some mobile operators across the world block Viber on their 3G network. Usually this happens when users have a "simple" data plan (or a prepaid contract), meaning they didn't pay extra for using VoIP on their 3G network.
In order to verify this, we recommend to:
1. Test Viber on a few different WiFi networks, and see that it works fine.
2. Contact your cell company and confirm this with them.

The Location aware-feature uses your GSM's (cellphone service provider) location signal, and its exact accuracy depends on your network provider. Viber does not use your GPS settings.
There may be a slight margin of error, depending which tower captures your location. Viber has no control of this. The information received by the tower is then displayed back to your device within Google maps. If reception is good and you are in a high-coverage area, the margin of error may be 1 to 100 meters +/-. Within large populated areas, with stable state-of-the-art GSM capabilities, the location awareness will have a greater accuracy.
As per your question - as I explained above, Viber uses cellular technology for its location services, and so it is indeed the 3G connection that is determining your location, and not your WiFi connection (naturally, because it's a local network that is not "location-aware").

I just noticed while installing this to my new phone... do we always have to add the + sign in front of all international numbers? because couple of my contacts couldn't be added even though we both had the same versions of both viber and iOS
Thank you for your help! I am from Romania and my mobile operator is Vodafone and yes, i have a prepayd contract. But the thing that i don't find normal is that, when i am on 3g, it sometimes works, it sometimes doesn't .. It usually works in the evenings . What do you think is the cause of that ?

Hi.. I just installed viber on my HTC one v .. a code was sent to me and the account got activated but I used the same mobile number to log in viber on my versus tablet android. I was sent two codes , but now neither can I log in through my HTC nor android tablet. Whenever I enter the code it says invalid code. I'm in Pakistan Nd using Warid network. Please help

About the "invalid code" problem:
Please try removing Viber, wait 24 hours, reinstall and try again (make sure you try both the SMS and the automated call options).
In addition, you may try to register to Viber with a different number (for example - your home landline number, a friend's number, etc.), in order to determine whether the problem is specific with your number, or a general one.
If this doesn't help, contact our support team at http://support.viber.com and give them the details of the problem.
About registering Viber on 2 different devices:
At this stage, one Viber number can be assigned with only one device simultaneously. When you try registering to Viber with the same number on a second device, the first device immediately deactivates, and its data (message history, Recents, etc.) is deleted.
What you can do, however, is register your second device with a different number: your home number, an old cellphone number, family's or friends.
In the future, we are considering to add an option to register Viber on multiple devices. Once we have news on that, we'll let you know

can somebody helppp me pleas i had viber on my phone and it was working this morning and when i came back home i tried to call and text they said i have trouble with connection i checked my connection and its all good so i deleted viber and reinstallled it and now it wont let me register

Please help! I am from Philippines, I installed viber and follow the steps. But when I entered the access code it says "incorrect code". But I put the exact code the viber sent to me. I already uninstall and reinstall viber, i turned off my phone. Can somebody tell me what to do?

Upgraded iphone to 6.0, stopped getting viber message, cant recieve/make calls.
Uninstalled, reinstalled (2x) Now "The sync with your contacts has failed. Please try again."
Have been using viber for almost a year. Never a problem till now.

i am using viber on my iphone 3g and it was working fine from last almost 2-3 months, i travel Qatar in September and it was working fine, last night also its was working fine and i talk using viber suddenly after 1 to 2 hrs later when i was trying to open viber it gives error msg saying 'there seems to be a problem connecting to viber services. please check your connection and try again' am trying through home and office wifi previously it was working fine with same and my bro and office colleges are also using viber through wifi here in Qatar they dont have any problem. other applications and internet are working fine.
what would be the problem for my viber app pls suggest me ASAP.

I love viber and use it everyday ! But I was experiencing some issues and deleted the app . I did not however delete my account . I tried to reinstall the app. The first time I was sent my code but it didn't work when I entered it. I tried again and again but I then stopped getting texts . So I clicked the no code? Button . It rang me but again the code was unsuccessful . My account is still there as I sometimes get a glimpse of some texts in my notifications . Please help it would mean the world !!

We believe it is related actually, since the general problem in our servers at the moment affects the registration process a great deal.
