In a cool, calm and methodical manner, obviously!

It was by no means easy but I still stand by the fact that spent looking for photos is better than keeping the camera infront of you and trying to shoot everything.

Just a word of warning! Never delete anything until the job is complete.

You might delete something good by mistake but more importantly you might find that the client comes back and asks for a specific photo of someone/something that you had previously decided had been unimportant or unflattering.

Reject the photos or mark the ones you want to keep. Hold off deleting them until the whole job is complete!

That is great advice, terrible photos can be used to create amazing works with a little photoshop magic :) Replace a face, add a nice background etc...

More exclamation points isn't helping. And why are you begging to see photos anyway? Are you a photographer? A wedding photographer? A photo editor? Are you the groom? The bride? Why do you think your opinion is going to matter? It could not be more irrelevant!! You have not offered ONE SINGLE POSITIVE thing to the conversation. No one expects you to start now.

Hmm, sound familiar?

You don't seem to understand, I don't care what you think, but you sure do have a lot of time on your hands. Posting from your mom's basement? :)

Awww, what happened? You mad, bro?

I am anxious to see some of his images...
Lets see some images
Still waiting to see some images!!!
So salacious, are we ever going to get to see any of these photos?
Just dying to "critique" those photos, huh? How wonderfully ironic that you said:
I would beg to differ, critiques for the most part are worthless. I am happy to learn a technical skill from someone, but honestly a critique of the content of a photo, not interested... While some are, most of those providing critiques are unqualified to do so.

Another garden variety chest-thumper, distracted by the presumption that they've "called someone out" — all the while completely oblivious (or in denial) as to how they've called THEMSELVES out. Classic! I mean, you could cut the irony with a knife:

...Of course you know that but it just burns you up to be called on it...

I seem to recall another contributor to this thread, an experienced photographer, saying that he just recently shot a wedding and came home with — GASP — over 3,000 images!! Why aren't you bending over backwards to tell them how they did it wrong? That they were spraying & praying? Since you and Google said it was so? You know what, it's okay, save your breath! You've already said plenty of nothing.

Or...
Bow out, hahahahahaha not a chance...
Just keep on talking to an empty room.

am halfway through editing the photos.. and you wont be seeing them before the couple.. ;)

when its ready its ready, i'm struggling to sit down and edit each photo as each hour I get bored, this is the same with video editing, but I will hit a peak where I smash out loads of photos, I'm kind of in the flow now so should be done real soon.

I think they have their own agenda! You just carry on. Post some if you want to, but it's up to you.

In regards to posting the results, doesn't salacious need the consent of the people photographed, especially if only the bride or male part is seen?
No he doesn't (country specific). In the US, unless he specifically transferred ownership and all rights to the bride and groom, he may publish the photos. He cannot sell them without their permission but he can certainly publish them assuming he is not selling the photos or getting compensation for publishing them.

Legal requirements aside, I have no doubt that slacious would respectfully ask the couple's permission before publically posting personal photos of his customers…as would any photographer.

I would hope that he would do that as well... I was simply answering the legal question.

I suspect that nothing will be forthcoming, he took compensation equivalent to a professional wedding photographer's fees after admitting that he knew little about still photography and then asked very basic question in the forum that a very beginner would know. Then he shot 3000+ photos in a spray and pray at his first wedding shoot.

He was nothing but cocky the whole time and I would like to see his images. I will be the first to admit if they are great and I hope they are!!! But I suspect we will never see them :)

For the couples sake I really hope he got some good shots :D

Since this thread is still going, here some advice for people in the same situation as the OP:

The camera brand and even lenses don't matter much for a pro who knows what he is doing.

But if you don't know what you are doing, don't use Canon! Rent a Nikon D810 and a D4s with fast zoom lenses. Shoot wide open at a high shutter speed.
With the D810 you can crop if you **** up on the composition. The D4s has idiot proof autofocus. And all FX Nikons have excellent high iso and dynamic range, so if you **** up on the exposure just fix it in post. Same goes for color and white balance: shoot raw and fix in post.

That way you can just focus on the picture taking and don't have to worry about the technical part.

The OPs choice to rent an old Canon (5dII) and some entry level Nikon body is odd to say the least.
The more reason to be happy it worked out for him.
