Waiting for 27" Quad to SHIP thread

does anyone know what time Apple retail stores normally recive their shipments?
is it in the middle of the night and they unload them right then and there, or do they receive shipments during the day?

It's presently the 11th November, plenty of time to get your iMac shipped to you before month end. Must be the lack of sunshine and those long dark nights making you cynical;);)

Hehe...you are definately right about the "long dark nights" part. I so long for a huge iMac to brighten up my days ;p Oh well, time to jump in a sunbed I guess.
 
YEAH BUDDY, just shipped from shanghai, i7 to uk with iWork preinstalled (HigherED order)

no estimated delivery rubbish USP :( but supposedly 2days under there terms.
 
FWIW, the Apple site no longer offers "next business day delivery" for the I5's. Have they run out?

I ordered mine from Amazon, and there is no indication of movement. That said, their standard MO will simply to send me a notice that it shipped and it will be here the next day. That will be a nice email...
 
Apple cancelled my iMac i7 (8GB, with remote, ordered 2nd Nov from UK store) from my order today, then re-added it. Nothing else with the order has changed.

Strange, intrigued me for roughly 20 seconds. Suppose it makes a change from the same old info.
 
Core i5 - Not yet shipped

Ordered a STOCK iMac 27" 2.66 Core i5 on Nov 10, at 3:35pm EST using EPP, and overnight shipping. Not yet shipped. Spoke to Apple, the person said it will be shipped anytime this week and latest Friday. I wonder if it does on Fri (Nov 13), will it arrive on Saturday, or Monday next week?

Is this the LONGEST thread (post wise, not says) on MacRumours?

I'm in the batch that missed the FedEx cutoff.

Delivery date to Illinois was 11/13, then changed to 11/16 shortly after.

I'll bet anything our iMacs are mostly going to be sitting in a local FedEx hub over the weekend.

I'm going to track this, call on Friday. Mostly I'm HOPING to pick this up on Saturday at my local hub. They may let it sit on a pallet since it's not due to deliver till Monday so if enough people call, we can likely get them Saturday.
 
Just checked, I'm in the lot that had the delivery exception as well.

Ordered 10/23 Delivery Date is now 11/17

i7/4GB/2TB - standard shipping, I was too lazy to call to get the bump to 2-day.

I'm in Los Angeles

I think someone needs to create a "Waiting for the quad 27" to ARRIVE" thread now....

I think you are completely off your rocker on this one. There is no rhyme or reason to the way orders are being shipped. Sorry, but your prediction makes no sense.

This thread is insane! I can't wait till these things hit stores for the very reason that I would go crazy waiting for the Prepared to Shipment to convert to Shipped to convert to Delivered!

When will Apple get themselves together and be OFFICIAL about this?? It's like they think they can sneak a few i7's by everyone and no one would realize they're 'secretly' already shipping...

have to agree. There are you few people in the UK that have ordered after me based on order date and they have either PFS or shipping.. :(
