Sorry, I roadblocked your machine. It has to do a detour rope-climbing-exercise on a glacier! Don't worry though, if you ponied up for the extra RAM it should complete the task quickly.

My i7 (clicked the button on 4th) still says Not Yet Shipped. That's painful. It hurts reading that and salivating with that 9500+ 64bit geekbench test I just saw in other thread. Can't wait to get my hands over that beauty and run the same video compression on Final Cut at the same time. Coming from a 2Ghz Core Duo with 2Gb, a 2,8Ghz Core i7 should make quite a difference.

At least I hope the jump from China to Japan doesn't take a long time and can get mine soon after shipping...

I have a hunch there will not be another scanning of the individual iMac's until it arrives in Memphis (or other location hubs). By morning there should be a lot of Out for Delivery going on.

OT: Very nice pics. Just got a new Canon 7D and some L lenses... hobby only though...

Exactly the same -- apparently we are in the same wacked container. It's frustrating to see zero movement.
 
For those of you still waiting for your order to ship if you haven't checked out the printer option you really should. If you live in the states you can get one for free, for Canadians like myself it'll only be $20. I already have a printer but for $20 I just couldn't pass that deal up :D

Oh and I ordered an i7 on Oct. 31 at 4:04pm with everything "stock" except the wired numbered keyboard. I'm still waiting for my order to change from "Not Yet Shipped". Driving me crazy but I'm patient and it's still November.

I got this one as well. (It arrived two days after I ordered. If only the i7 could have been shipped so promptly....) So far, I'm really liking its photo printing quality. And, although you can't apply for the rebate until the iMac ships, in my experience Apple is quite prompt about sending the check.

Here is the truly confusing thing: The remote and the iMac shipped at the same time from China. The remote is in Alaska right now with a status of "Int'l shipment release". The iMac is "In Transit" with no update in 24 hours.

I call that "very strange."

I've managed it before but they do resist. I think they have to locate / pull the box so its a pain. Depends on the size of the center I suppose. I went to them and asked in person. If you have the phone number of your local center you could try calling.
 
just wondering how long did u guys took to change from prepare for shipment to shipped/tracking numba? o_O

Mine is still sitting at ORIGIN SCAN in Shanghai. It's been in this status since Nov 10. Delivery date is still the same at Nov 17. Coming to Ontario.

Task completed. Departed Anchorage 3:53 PM, destination unknown.... No, the extra RAM is sitting in its box shipped from Amazon.
