Billing information indeed. But last week I bought a new MacBook and that was also shipped from China. And arrived on the 13th november. And was shipped on the 11th of november. So it's really possible. UPS is doing a great job.
I am confused as to where mine is at this moment ... ordered on 9 November ... changed to shipped on 15 November but I have no means of tracking it like other people seem to have ... should be delivered to The Netherlands ... here is what I have:

Gezien je een printer erbij hebt gekocht gaat de manier van transport anders. Je iMac wordt intern naar Nederland verscheept. Daar worden de iMac en printer bij elkaar gestopt en dan wordt 't weer verder verstuurd. De printer staat hier in NL. De iMac in China. Dus vandaar.
I called and got no where, they are now saying shipping is late nov! I said my friends already had their machines shipped. He said oh im sorry to hear that and thats it. The thing is thought he doesnt know so its not his fault. Its some pratt at apple that is randomly shipping them out.

Nu is alleen de vraag wanneer hij er is ... in de mail stond 24 November I finnaly got "Shipped" on thursday the 13th of november.
Delivery date; 26th of november. I called Apple and asked that it was correct that it was going to take 13 days to deliver the i7 BTO to Norway. I was, and she just said America has a "different system". I also said I found it frustrating that even tho I ordered it four hours after the online shop opened the 20th of october I would not recive my Mac well after alot of people that ordered in november even. It's my very first Mac, and I'm sure I will love it, but so far my dealings with Apple has been less than satisfying. Again, I know it said November when I ordered the Mac, but I did not expect to get so obviously bypassed just because I live in Norway.

Ordered my i7 with 8GB on Sunday. No idea when it will ship of course.
My take on the seemingly random shipping order - logistics. UPS likely say, right I need a pallet of Macs heading off to Europe. Or give me something for the East Cost, or West Coast, or whatever. It's going to be far cheaper for apple to send 100 iMacs to Europe in one go, regardless of queue position, than to send out 3 to Europe, 5 to the USA, 10 to Africa, and so on. So I imagine that's why there are occasions where one person has ordered days or weeks after another but gets their shipment out sooner. Luck of the pallet.

Still waiting here in the UK. I ordered my i7 on the 21st (2am PST). It got shipped on the 11th. I have no carrier information yet...it just says 'In transit to final destination - carrier details to be updated shortly.' I think because the iMac has to merge with my AppleCare contract (I can't believe they merge the two together rather than just posting the AppleCare or something). I wish I had some tracking though so I knew where it was. Seeing a lot of people in the UK ordered later than me getting theirs at the moment, and having been able to track it the whole time...

I hear your completely. Mine was picked up by UPS on Nov 11th and it's been sitting in Shanghai ever since. Right now UPS has 3 planes on route from Shanghai to Anchorage. Do I think it's on one of those? HA. Honestly, no.Wow this is sad, now I'm predicting (hoping) which UPS flight my i7 will be on from Shanghai

You sure it's not different for an Apple Canada Gift Card? From the back of the gift card: "Apple Gift Cards can be applied toward purchases at Apple Retail Store locations in Canada only; they cannot be redeemed for cash, at the Apple Online Store or at Apple Authorized Resellers."
The first part talks about LOCATION of retail store. I would take this to mean you can only use it at retail stores in CANADA, not other parts of the world.
The second part is about redeeming for cash. It does not say you can't use it online , it just says it can not be redeemed for CASH.
I don't think it says anywhere that you can't redeem for merchandise at an online store.

Hi, I'm in a similar position though I ordered on 22nd with Applecare & the remote-shipped on 12th (11th in Shanghai) BUT still no tracking number. Apple rep was apologetic over their language-'tracking details to be updated SHORTLY' but could do nothing.
My delivery is due for 21st BUT they do not deliver on Saturdays so more likely to be Monday 23rd-wonderfull we're away that week!!!
Key thing for me is not to order the extra bits with the computer because that leads to merge in transit UK & delay. The bod I spoke to said he doubted I would get a tracking number until the end of this week & that adds up to a stupid system for UK & perhaps other countries in Europe & very dissatisfied customers.
Weird, I though most of the Canadians had their orders going through Anchorage but mine showed up in Mount Hope a few hours ago. Not that I'm complaining as maybe it means I'll get it faster. Although I still don't have an estimated arrival date.
I think mine is sat next to yours as mine left the same day, and ordered with Applecare. This mad, the only thing that applecare send is the terms and conditions book.
It does seem a tad backward the "Merge In Transit" status and no way of tracking the order. My iMac was despatched on the 13th November, estimated delivery date is the 26th November, it does seems like a long wait all for the sake of a Time Capsule and Applecare. Maybe it will arrive earlier but would be better if I could track it and get a proper idea when I'll see it delivered so I can arrange for someone to be in to take delivery.
I only got a tracking number for the two display adapters I ordered at the same time, and that trackingnumber leads to nothing at all, no info about courier or company. It just says it's shipped the 13th and that the information will get refreshed soon. So, iMac still in iLimbo.
Same for me.. waiting for my i5 iMac, printer and Time Capsule.. I ordered the 21st of October and was shipped the 12th of November. The iMac is shipped by Kuhne and Nagel, the other items are shipped by Sencreon.. Delivery date should be the 20th..
Location is The Netherlands btw..
Have you tried changing the timezone at the top? Mine says 21st too until I change the timezone, at which point it changes to the 20th.
