My iMac was shipped on the 14th. A whole week after, it is now at the "NL Distribution Center" to be merged with the Apple Remote.

Nope Good old USA here and they couldn't be driving the shaft any further. Ordered 10/28 and they went from don't have a idea too don't know too Don't care too too its back ordered lol too don't you have anything better too do too why are you still an apple customer don't go away mad just go away! So no its not just Japan or Australia its pretty much an international gang bang by Apple. Looks like we bite the apple and got the maggots! Thanks for the love Apple!

Yay mine is in shipment now, I ordered it 7 days 12 hours ago.
The website says it will be here (UK) by 4th Dec, but the email said "We expect your order to be delivered to your shipping address on or before 01.12.2009", but I'm hoping these are worst case scenarios. I'm praying it can be here during this coming working week

the quad cores are now shipping 5-7 days on apple store instead 7-10. My i7 is 2 hours away from me but I don't get it until Tuesday

Pre-ordered on 26th October, iMac 27" i5, bog standard. University discount, paid using barclaycard promotion. Many cAlls to customer (do not)care.
Came back home to Cardiff for weekend at popped into Apple store. I asked if I couuld pick my iMac up there and then after explaining my sob story. No luck though and I walked out empty handed :-(
So depressing. I played with one and they said they had plenty of stock!
I couldn't cancel my online order (apparently) as I'd paid using their finance deal?! They said they couldn't do anything to help!
I could cry!

Estimated delivery date is 24/11. That will mean four working days to ship, if there are no more delays. Not too bad considering I had 2-3 day shipping
It only took 2 days to make it from China. Ordered the 2nd shipped on the 16th, and received it on the 18th.
Powered it up, followed the onscreen, then restored a timemachine.
iTunes and Aperture didn't work. redownloaded iTunes but my version of Aperture doesn't work on snow leopard. All other applications work just fine.
It is running nice and quick. The kids are enjoying my old 24 inch white one.

That's pretty quick. I wonder how you managed that. I paid for the 2-3 day shipping and will have it on Monday, but would've been nice if it showed up in two days after shipping like yours!
The tracking said it would arrive on the 19th then I got a missed delivery note on the 18th so picked it up from FedEx later that day.
I live North of Syracuse NY and really don't get quick shipping. I was really surprised that it came a day early.

There was a second departure scan Sunday Nov. 22 at 04:09 AM, in Shanghai. That's Saturday Nov. 21 at 3:09 PM Toronto time.
If the shipment actually leaves Shanghai this time, it could arrive in Kentucky by Sunday morning. Maybe the shipment will arrive in Toronto by Tuesday instead of Thursday. Maybe even Monday after all?

A little update, ordered 14 Nov (night in Singapore, morning in US) and as of now it's Prepared for Shipment. Hopefully the apple customer service is right, I'll be getting it by wednesday (shipping in Singapore is much more pain free, proximity to China and small country)

At the moment of my order the estimated delay before shipping was 7-10 working days, 10 working days from the 18th of November is exactly the 3rd of December. On the same day the estimated shipping delay went to 5-7 days.
Also, a lot of people who have ordered only a few days before me (between the twelfth and fiteenth) have had their orders shipped in about 7-10 days (not even working days).
Is there any chance it will be shipped before 3rd of december? Even though it doesn't say 'estimated' - as opposed to the estimated delivery date of the 9th of December?
My guess (and fear - but I guess it's only fair - though I made the mistake of ordering at a reseller in October first, so I've been waiting quite some time as well ) is that Apple decided to put all new orders on hold until December, to get rid of their backlog of orders supposed to ship in November.

Yeah, this was the working theory since I see an entire separate thread here for Australians with the "Not Yet Shipping" Blues. However, I've since come to realize it's just a total crapshoot. Some order and get shipping the next day while others are waiting since October with no updates.
Hope you get yours soon. I'm halfway through a 3-day holiday weekend here (Labor Thanksgiving Day) so I don't expect to see any updates until Tuesday the earliest.
It's been a long time since I lived back home in the states. Do UPS/FedEx ship on Thanksgiving? You'll be up against that this week if yours actually gets shipped.
