Just got off the phone with UPS. The rep said my package arrived at Pearson Int'l Airport (hence the arrival scan in "Mississauga") and has cleared customs. It's guaranteed to be delivered tomorrow, Wednesday. At least that beats Thursday.

I get this after the exception:
MISSISSAUGA, ON, CA 24/11/2009 6:23 ARRIVAL SCAN

This sounds very good. Strange that it isn't the Mount Hope hub, though. And it's just an "arrival scan," not a "destination scan." Could this mean they'll head out for delivery today? They'd better not send the shipment somewhere else!

I wonder how fast the turnaround is from delivery scan until a shipment goes out for delivery. It's time to call UPS...

After my exception I got HAMILTON, ON, CA 24/11/2009 6:55 ARRIVAL SCAN
MOUNT HOPE, ON, CA 24/11/2009 6:05 DEPARTURE SCAN
so it seems like it was stuck at Mt Hope the whole time.
At least its arrived at the Hamilton hub. Estimated delivery date is today, I won't hold my breath though, until I see the "out for delivery" scan. Don't trust UPS to do anything right.

Finaly my tracking started working.

24 Nov 2009 12:28:25 Eindhoven Shipment In Transit.

Norway next. delivery 26th. cant wait.

Eurgh. Since last week, it said that today would be the day (after Apple's estimated Friday was obviously not so). Today I wake up to see 'rescheduled date: 25/11/09' . But it left Concord this morning, at 12h30. Concord is about 5 hours away. Shouldn't it be in Ottawa by now, ready to get delivered?! There's no update on the tracking except for that rescheduled date.

Oh, how I would have liked for it to have been shipped with FedEx. It would have already been here by now; it was shipped on the 14th!

I think I'm going to be watching my UPS tracking like a hawk... more so than the rest of the week. It's getting close!

See image...

Does anyone know what's going on here?

Yay!

And we have import scan!

@Troy2000: that's the date it'll hit the UK distribution centre, where it'll handed over to UPS. Expect it to arrive in IE two days after that. At least, that's what happened to me. That date slipped a couple of times.

How long to get i7 in U.S.?

I have read thru the last several pages and am trying to figure out when I might get my i7. I am in California. I ordered mine on November 16 and just have the famous "not yet shipped". I feel worried an really bad for those that ordered in October and still have not received their iMac. Most seem to be in Australia. Apple is being worse than Microsoft to these people. Can anybody in U.S. give me a realistic time frame? Thanks for any input.

For anyone from the UK that's interested in the i7 timescales:

Ordered: 4th November
Shipped: 14th November
Delivered: 24th November

That's a stock Core i7 with Applecare. I believe Applecare adds a significant time to the delivery because it has to be shipped to a distribution centre to be merged with the Applecare box before it's handed to UPS for UK delivery. If it's just the iMac on its own then it will be a lot quicker as it seems to go direct to you from the factory.

Ordered an i7, 2TB, 4GB on Nov 14th. Went from ordered to prepared for shipment last night around 11pm. Then, this morning when I checked it was "Shipped on Nov 24th via Federal Express." I live in Florida. FWIW.

My original order was placed on 10/22/2009. Canceled on 11/13/2009 because it never progressed. Reordered it on 11/14/2009.

Others who receive your iMac, please help the less fortunate around the world and indicate your order date. Much appreciated!

I get the feeling that's what's happening to mine too in order to get the remote. I don't even need it, dunno why I ordered one. Oh well, mine won't make it hear for my birthday on Friday, be the middle of next week I reckon.

UPS is playing with my nerves. I had to go out, and the tracking hadn't changed from the left Concord. I come home to see that the rescheduled date is no more, and it's on the truck for delivery... but I was only home for a few minutes, I had to go back out.

If they can stick to their 'after 3h' average for delivery, I'll be fine. (I live in a small town... where there's only 1 truck per courier that passes, so delivery tends to be between 3h-5h with any of the courier companies.) I'm hoping to get home, and have a UPS truck follow soon after :D

My iMac i7 (ordered on the 11th) is currently the plaything of various customs officials..

Just for information, my iMac/i7/4GB/1TB/French-Canadian-with-numpad-keyboard took exactly 29x24 hours* from order to delivery through an authorized dealer in Quebec City (Canada).
