Delayed could be a good sign though. I'm waiting for my advanced replacement. To be honest I'd rather wait an extra month and get a perfect iMac than get another yellow screen jobby.

I just set up a replacement with Apple for my i7.

The rep said that I would be pushed to the front of the order queue and to ignore the estimated shipping date of Feb. 1 on my Order Status page. She said it should ship sooner than that but wouldn't say by how much.

Overall a painless phone call that took less than five minutes. When I stated the problems (flickering screen, yellow tint) they didn't troubleshoot at all, they just started setting up for a replacement.

Exact same experience here, I feel they know it's a major concern.

I'm in a similar boat.

My imac 24 is being replaced with a 27. I called them on Thursday to setup the replacement and here it is Saturday morning and the new imac is sitting downtown at the fedex sort facility. I had an estimated shipping time of one week, but if you see priority on left side of the order status page, you'll probably be happily surprised at how fast their replacement process is. I know I have been.

Mines just been dispached after ordering it 3 weeks ago. Just checked the UPS shipping information and they coming directly from SHANGHAI.

So does this mine apple are shipping them directly from production to customer, instead of Production > local apple stores > customer.

Best,

Best,

Generally all online orders get shipped direct straight from production line to customer. If your order includes additional items, including AppleCare, it often goes via a distribution centre in the UK where your order is "Merged In Transit" before being forwarded onto you.

i'm pretty sure this was the same when i ordered my current iMac back in 2006. i kept checking the tracking every 4 or 5 hours (not that it updated anywhere near that often) and was able to track it's progress to europe and then in stages to the uk and finally my door :D

Waiting like everyone else...

Ordered i7 on 12/30 orig. to ship on 1/14, arriving 1/19

Got the delay email on the 14th, now its:

Ships: 7 business days
Delivers: Jan 28 - Feb 1

Trying to be patient...

This may be of limited interest apart from in general terms to those not in the UK, but John Lewis have 27" Quad Cores back in stock at the moment, so maybe supplies are filtering through again.

Yeah, I ordered one.

My shipping date is today... nothing yet...

Ship. Ship. Shipshipshipship. SHIP!

has your's been delayed, or is it in the original shiping date?

i'm seeing some people whom shiping dates where delayed and got an email saying a different date (early then estimated). it's that your case?

anyone in UK ordered i5 today?

standard configuration, thinking about ordering again (previous refund) and want to know what estimated dispatch/arrival date people are getting.

My replacement just shipped

It is a week 2. I was hoping for 3 or later.

I guess i'll still be a member of the yellow club.

There have been posts of week 2 having the yellow screens also.

So I guess the delay rumors were false and that the shortage was due to demand.

Original shipping date... though I'm nervous after reading other people's stories!
That's great! You'll probably get it this week then. So when did you put your order in?
Ordered 4th January! Excruciating!

You can see your invoice where you view your orders on the apple page.
