Ordered my stock core i5 imac on the 19th, shipping estimate is 2nd of feb atm. Im happy to wait if they are actually fixing the screen issues

It is a week 2.

I cannot test the screen out at work because I work in a brightly lit environment and the sun shines in on the display.

I will have to test it at home.

Screen had fingerprints on it.

Overall it seems quiet and everything looks to be fine.

Hopefully the display is not yellow.

The box from fedex was wet on the outside. The inside box was also wet but not too badly.

Listen Jim, before you look at the screen at home, I drank a lot of coffee - a lot. I really, really need to go to the bathroom. Do you mind my taking a quick look at your screen before you examine it? I don't want you to miss out on being in the Yellow Club :)

Mines supposed to ship tomorrow (21st) and be here the 26th.

Mine was supposed to ship today, Jan 20th and Deliver, Jan 26th. But still showed "Not yet shipped":(

I called Apple about this (about 5 P.M.) and was told it was delayed, which would be " ship no later than Jan 25th" instead of delivering on Jan 25th.

Apple is expected to release iLife '10 next Wednesday at their media event. The way things are going, I'm sure they are going to ship my iMac the day before, on Tuesday, right before the upgrade. At this point I'm considering calling to tweak the order to delay it until after the announcement. Maybe the keyboard option, since I already have a wireless keybaord.

What's another couple weeks right? Waited this freaking long....

What's the rule with that? I know a lot of companies have a grace period so if you bought within X number of days of an announcement you get it free? I figured ordering mine when I did (two days ago here in Signapore) would ensure I wouldn't get it till after the announcements at the Apple event... never know, could be a slight tooling of MacPros, not hyped speed bumps, etc... just never know.

was suppose to recieved the i7 but got push back to 1 Feb and i doubt they will ship on time :apple:

really really bad experience

U.S online store just changed shipping time to three weeks for both 27" imac's.

what the hell? how come?

how many more weeks are they gonna pull back the shipping time? wasn't 2 weeks enough?

Will this new shipping time affect our orders or will it only be for the new orders?

Mine was supposed to be shipped yesterday. Not shipped yet! Has anyone recently got notification that there iMac is shipped and how late was the ship date compared to the 'estimated shipping' date?

I'm not real sure for something like an iLife upgrade, I imagine in you are in the 14 day return window you can call and ask.

You are right, iLife may not get upgraded, but I really doubt they would talk a Mac Pro speed bump. The redesign of the iMac didn't even warrent an event.

but, I'm still hoping to see mine ship Wednesday or Thursday. Chances are good that they would ship day of announcement with the new software.

Mine should have been shipped on Jan 20 and I got this email this morning

Due to an unexpected delay, we now anticipate shipping the following item(s) as follows:

Z0GF, IMAC 27"/4850-512MB
Ships by Feb 4
Delivers by Feb 9

Should I call them and complain? I'm a software engineering and I cannot wait another two weeks. I got a project, building iPhone applications and I cannot do that without a Mac.

This is my replacment. I returned the old one due to the yellow issue. My iPhone projects have been postponed since then. :(

Three weeks shipping time

I'm also waiting for my first replacement due to yellow issue. If Apple does not ship on time, I would call, complain and get upgrade or something for my trouble. There are posts on the forum, people had experienced this before.

I 'm thinking the same as you, delay for another 2 weeks is too much. When will you get yours anyway?

That's understandable, nobody wants to be delayed but honestly, with people complaining about the yellowing issues and all these endless returns and exchanges, wouldn't you prefer that Apple delay orders and take time to fix the problems so you don't have to keep exchanging it? You exchanged yours, you don't want to have to keep doing that. My i7 is scheduled to ship on Jan 25th, I'm sure I'll get the infamous email about a delay in shipping.
If that happens, I'm going to call them and ask for a free ram upgrade. TBH, if you had iPhone projects that were important you could've held on to your first one until you finished your projects. The yellowing issue couldn't have stopped your work.

Mine ships January 28th and arrives February 5th :). (2 weeks after ordering it)

Sure! And mine should have been here since the 19th... but it's not.
Don't trust the first dates they put on the order info, they'll delay it and reschedule.

I told them if i could keep the old one til they ship the replacement. BUt the answer was a no. I also asked them if I kept this one and had it repaired when the yellow issue has been fixed. But they didn't allow me to do so, They preferred me to get the replacement.

By the way, Can you teach me how I'm going to talk to Apple rep to ask for the a free ram upgrade?

Should I just tell them I need a free ram upgrade to cpmpensate the delay? :(

Dont be sure for the estimated date they gave you. Mine should have been shipped since Jan 20th, and I got an email from Apple this morning stating that mine got delayed for another 2 weeks

now my current shipping is

I ordered my quad i7/8GB/1TB machine on the 19th. Estimated ship date is 2/2/2010 with a delivery date of 2/5/2010. It will be a long couple of weeks, but not as bad of a wait as many of you have endured.

This is my first mac since my old Yosemite G3. I can't wait to try my hand at iPhone app development!
