Ordered: Jan 7th
First estimated date: Shipping: Jan 28th Arrive: Feb 5th
Second estimated date: Shipping: Feb 11th Arrive: Feb19th
Got shipping mail: Jan 30th
Finally arrived: Feb 3rd

Ok , i checked the yellow tinge issue (with a white screen) but i can't notice it. Being paranoid, it appears to be slighty yellow in the lower right corner but i can't say that is a yellow tinge problem because is hard to notice, very very hard. With coloured screen is harder to see (inexistent i must say). I'll post photos later and a video of the unboxing (The box is big, very big haha).

Hope im as lucky as you when mine arrives later today!

Hey Kaos2K.

Looks great! If there is any yellow thingie, then i cant see it :)

Looking forward to get mine.

No disrespect meant here but what is it with people posting unboxing photos and videos of their computers? I just don't get it - is it some kind of Mac Head pornography? I guess when it's a brand new product and someone is amongst the first to receive theirs then a tentative maybe but even then I'm a bit perplexed by the whole phenomena.

As I said, no insult or disrespect intended but it genuinely mystifies me the whole thing.

Someone in the thread asked for photos of iMacs when arrived to see if they are affected by the yellow tinge. I'm a collector of systems (consoles, videogames, computers) so i take the pics too to post it in my photobucket collection album (By the way if you navigate the link below you will see all my consoles and systems collection :p)

My i7 is supposed to ship today! I haven't received an email but it's still early on the east coast.

Just one thing, i tried to down the brightness to minimum and in that position i hear a constant buzz, is not frustrating but there it is.

My i7 order, which was only put in about a week ago, just shipped out from China more than 2 weeks ahead of schedule (estimated delivery was around February 20). Not sure if that's good or bad for my chances of getting a good one...

My iMac arrived!!!!

It's a week 5 one :D. I'm unboxing it now. I will post photos and all that stuff and check if affected by the yelow tinge :) (Fingers crossed)

Use THiS LINK to find out what week it was actually built in by Apple, and also what country it was built in, China, USA etc... Please let us know too.
All you do is go to this link and enter your new serial number in the hilighted green block, and it will give you so much information about your new iMac. It is a cool link. Keep in mind that you can only do up to 3 checks per 24 hour period, so use it sparingly.

Hmm, my order just changed back to "in transit to customer-shipment on schedule" but still no tracking info. Not sure if this is good or bad. The remote I ordered for the iMac at the same time came today though.

Dude the pictures and videos help people like me to not go crazy waiting for their iMacs. It gives something in the meanwhile to stay occupied with plus the main reason for posting pics is to calm other people down about the yellow tinge and other problems. Pictures and videos just help trust me!!!

Pictures of screen to demonstrate possible yellow - kind of understand
Pictures of Unboxing & setting Up - each to their own I guess.

on my 3rd iMac - Week 5 came today - Really tried hard to get over the yellow tinge issue - may be I would not have noticed if I wasn't aware of it, but the fact is I am and I simply cant get past it, so I think I am going to get a refund and wait around to see if they resolve this issue and if its not done soon I may have to just reluctantly buy a Macbook Pro...

Yeah, i used that webpage before unboxing the imac hehe.

Snapshot of what it shows:

By the way, my unpacking video is online in youtube, have fun :p: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5tPI9TSW-3w

Well, i called apple and they will send a TNT truck to pick up the iMac :( the girl i spoke to told me promptly that there was a 3 week waiting because of "some problems at the factory", I must say that was the only time today that made me want to laugh...ohh boy...problems...yeahh right lolol

Nice video. Congrats!!! Muy Bien!!!! Will someone explain how this was made in week 5 of this year when the present week is week 5 if I am counting right?

This week is week 6 :p.

First week of 2010 is only 3 days long (friday 1st January, saturday 2nd January and sunday 3rd January)

What on earth is up with ups? Takes them about 5 days to get to the uk instead of the usual 2. I was meant to get the imac today, i even rang an hour ago and asked where it was and was told it would be here before 7. Now the tracking information has changed and its due for delivery tomorrow! Seriously annoying.

Ne changed to "at uk distribution centre" earlier this evening. Just checked again and it has a ups number and says will be delivered tomorrow.
