I'm not too convinced on the Apple store shipping update. It makes sense for me, as I ordered the 25th and my original shipping date is the 16th. That is 2 weeks from now.. however as someone previously posted even if you order now you will still wait 3 weeks. Does this mean mine will be shipped the 9th? I doubt it.

Looks like my i7 is in the same shipment. Fingers crossed people!
I also ordered last night and have the same shipping info. Hopefully the shipping bump applies to us, and hopefully that manager was correct and the issues will be resolved!

My original ship date was Jan. 26, but it was shipped Feb. 1. It's supposed to arrive here in Virginia by 10:30 tomorrow morning, but it's been in Shanghai for 2 days and hasn't left yet. Do you think, especially with the 3 to 6 inches of snow we're supposed to get tonight, that it will really get here? I'm dying, dying, dying to play with it!!!

Well, the tracking is showing that the iMac left Varsaw.

There are only 3000km to Spain from there and if the packet travelled 7000km from Korea to Varsaw this morning i think that during night 3000km will be no problem
. I suppose that i will get the imac tomorrow 3rd or 4thIs the order number the same as the serial number? My order number is W6809XXXX, which I guess would mean Week 9. Does it matter what week # the unit is as far as likelihood of getting a defect? ...hopefully mine isn't notorious or anything. :|

Ordered - and paid for - my iMac 7 early December for delivery "in a couple of weeks". Then told ETA = early January then late January now mid February. I live in Adelaide, South Australia and wanted to make the jump from PC to Mac. Please reassure me that my wait will be worth it!

Reckon you'll have it by Thursday at the latest, small possibility it will be Wednesday. Keep checking the order tracking and you'll soon get a proper UPS tracking number (sometimes it's best to go via the US store as that get's updated a little sooner than the UK).

As someone who switched over 3-4 years ago I can guarantee that it is worth the wait.

Damn my i7 has gone from China > Icheon > Warsaw > Cologne > Stanstead in just under 24 hours. That's pretty fast, my delivery date has gone from 1st feb to the 2nd then the 4th feb and now the 3rd feb, which is today!

Finally back in Singapore to take delivery of my i7. Was impatiently watching out the window all morning. DHL said 10-1 and damn sure he came 2 minutes to 1 . Only a couple hours in but mine seems fine. No noticeable yellow tint, no flicker, no sounds.... other that the craptastic fan I never got around to fixing in my macbook pro running nearby.
Original order date 19/01/2010 scheduled to leave out Feb 2nd and arrive Feb 4. Ended up leaving early and getting to Singapore on the 2nd but I was in Shanghai so just took delivery today on the 3rd... a day early! Damn, I was kind of hoping for some free stuff

Got a call from my apple guy today, said there is a 3 week delay with my imac i7 order (placed order 2.5 wks ago). He didn't specify if it was a shipping delay or delay in assembly!!!
He did however mention that they're 'speculating' that it's a recall; but they would never make that announcement. ........, wadda ya gona do

Ok , i checked the yellow tinge issue (with a white screen) but i can't notice it. Being paranoid, it appears to be slighty yellow in the lower right corner but i can't say that is a yellow tinge problem because is hard to notice, very very hard. With coloured screen is harder to see (inexistent i must say). I'll post photos later and a video of the unboxing (The box is big, very big haha).
