Hope you have more luck with them!

they delivered my remote successfully today, adn with that it only updated the night before. Im in reading and the scan is in tamworth, they managed it yesterday so I have faith  fingers crossed!

i ordered my 27" i7 on 1/21/09 from my school, but have not heard anything as far as when its going to ship. I called apple, and my school, and they both tell me they cant help me because it was ordered from a purchase order. I feel like a child waiting for christmas. I have no idea when I will get it, but I hope soon

Really begin to consider whether this second iMac also comes with problems, ask for my money back and add some more and go MacPro, to my regret.

Lets see what the tide brings us.

I've just received my replacement week 5 machine (2.8 quad). Problems this time are an inch long scratch behind the glass, white dust specs behind the glass and a yellow tint at the bottom and to the right.

Slightly better than the last one though which had - Yellow tint, iSight pixel problems, faulty superdrive, small white spot (approx 3mm across) near middle of screen, faulty shift key on keyboard.

I'll have to give them a call in the morning but am thinking I'll give them one last chance? If I get another faulty one I think I'll wait for the new mac pros - at least there won't be any screen issues!!

The scratch and dust behind the glass makes me wonder if they're reusing glass from other faulty machines rather than new ones?

Regarding the 27" Quad to SHIP thread and those of you who got yours or if you know others who got theirs, is there any connection about where the iMac was built whether it was in China or USA and whether or not the yellow tint is happening to one building center (either USA or China) or the other.

To put it simply are the iMac's that are coming with the yellow tint, are they the ones being built or put together in China? That is my main concern.

You can find out where your iMac was built by typing in your serial number of your iMac on this page in the green block. Then do a screen capture for your own records.

Mine is great too, in my eyes at least.

I decided to go against my own wishes about publishing pics of my iMac but since I know people are concerned about the issues I thought I would share mine. Just received my new i7 iMac. I absolutely love it. It's week 5. No dead or stuck pixels, whisper silent 1TB hard drive and from the looks of my pics, no yellowing. Feel free to offer feedback.

If your iMac comes perfect. It will be all worth it!!!! Could you please check your invoice and tell us what week your iMac is? also where are you located so that i can estimate when mine will be shipped i ordered on the 27th and my ship date is feb 18th. I was hoping that they will ship it sooner than that and they did for your case!!!! Almost a week and a half early!!!

The iMac arrived this morning and its absolutely perfect! No buzz, no yellow and no flicker. Its also freaking huge!
