Waiting for 27" Quad to SHIP thread

Very fast shipment

So Sunday I bought a new i7 iMac 27'' with upgraded ram. I figured it would be a few weeks and I was wrong. It shipped from China Monday, made it to New Hampshire yesterday and is out for delivery! Is that fast or what?
 
Yay! Ordered mine last Thursday through a reseller, canceled on Tuesday, re-ordered online on Tuesday and now it's prepared for shipment. Looks like European shipping times are better too. :)

Does anybody know how long it takes to go from prepared for shipment to shipped?

Edit: shipped! Looks like I'll be getting a week 9 iMac this Monday! :)

So I actually ordered my custom configuration on Monday Mar 1 @ 6am

Here is the Fedex log from that point

Nice one, im ordering mine tomorrow - hopefully i get it in the same timeframe as yourself (monaghan) and receive it by next weekend!
 
Just FYI, ship times are now down to "within 24 hours" across the board (but upgrading i5 to i7 bumps it to "1-3 days")

Ordered mine week ago Friday, came Wed, but I missed it, got it Thurs.
I did all the tests. I believe I see a hint of yellow, but truly can't be sure what my eyes are seeing.
I alos have the whitelight bleed through. THink I need to return this? I'd surely hate to.
 
Im going to be ordering from the education store - I take it that this will be a slower process than normal... how long will they take (roughly) to verfiy that im a student etc and ship?

i ordered my iMac 27" i7 on thursday at 12:57 pm eastern time from the education store. I also ordered tc, and tc shipped thursday evening at 8:25 pm eastern time. i will update you on when the i7 ships, i believe it will be sunday night eastern time, china is 13 hours ahead of me so it will be monday morning in china.....this will be my first mac and can wait......

MBP 15" next as soon as update......already have the ok from the wife......just waiting on update....
 
Also just ordered the 27 with the i7 today. Hopefully it comes by Friday as i have Friday off and would love to have the weekend to play with a new toy!!

If it's a standard configuration maybe Apple are now holding stock at their UK distribution centre?
 
I ordered my 27" i7 iMac at 12:58 pm eastern time on March 4th, last thursday. I still have not received shipping notice. it has been 3 full business days in shanghai since ordering and still no ship...still waiting....

Mine was updated to prepared for shipment when i checked this morning. Is yours still saying not yet shipped?
 
I just ordered a 27" i7 today.

I was going to get one of the new Macbook Pros but got tired of waiting and since I mostly use my laptop at a desk anyway I figured a larger screen would be nice.

currently says it will ship in 1-3 business days.
 
wOOp!

Ordered my i7 last Friday at one of the Apple resellers in Hong Kong. They told me that it would be over a month to get it. Got home and did the configuration and ship time was listed as 2-4 business days. Took a screen dump and sent it to them and they told me that it would not take the month. Still waiting to hear back as to when it will be in and ready for shipment to me from the store.

Dying to get it...

FedEx doesn't know where you live? How will they ever deliver your computer now? Guess they'll just go door to door asking for you, hoping to get lucky....

i ordered mine apple online on march 4 at 12:58 pm and mine is now showing prepared for shipment and hopefully will ship am. it is 9:36 am in shanghai so they may be preparing to ship right now.....
 
I ordered my first mac, a 27" i5 imac this past weekend.

They sent the tracking number monday and fedex says it should be here by Friday.

One odd thing though, they said the weight is 20.0 lbs/9.1 kg. I hope they didn't accidentally ship me something else given that apple.com says the 27" imac weighs 30 lbs. :eek:

I took the day off Friday to do some housework and to be home to sign for the package. I'm going to be pissed if the sent me the wrong size computer.
 
I ordered an i7 late FEb with the flux capacitor upgrade. I don't understand why it's taken so long. It should be here by now!
