We already know it’s not coming in 2018, any tease or preview will just be a treat.

But knowing how bean counters work, it’ll probably just be full of tricks...

(Sorry had to go for it).

No leaks about tomorrow is troubling.
I just peek a possible leak, now deleted talking about a mMP prototype having dual Isa gpu and somehow a mix between tcMP and cheese grater chassis, having a thermal core design for CPU , storage & chipset, and classic cooling for GPU with provisions for liquid cooling, single socket only single a CPU option with 28 cores (likely a Xeon W-3175X)

Let's see

Tease...

Only a few hours to go. Hope they have something to show and not dragging the keynote on forever and ever with superlatives.

Apple sells several times more iPads than they do Macs, has an install base of iPads several times that of Macs, and is growing sales of iPad whereas Mac sales have stagnated recently. FAR more people care about iPad than about Mac. Plus we're entering the holiday season, and iPads make good Christmas presents. So accordingly I expect iPad to get more attention at the event than Mac, and likewise I expect press coverage to lead with the iPad news first and foremost.
At least, the keynote started with the Mac!:)

Same here... I have a funny feeling we'll see a preview at the next WWDC with the announcement of a two year transition period...

So, Vega is coming to the MBP next month, thats something atleast, but that makes me even more irritated, Vega + Xeon Scalable and go back to the cheese grater design and they could probably have launched a MP next month. But nooooooo we will have to wait until 2023 because Apple feel the urge to create another ****** design with proprietary components.

Also, if they can tell us whats coming in the MBP in a month, they could atleast say something about the MP now since it has much lower need for secrecy compared to consumer devices.

Sadly the new Mini is more capable than the current Mac Pro for many applications.

Timmy just had a snotty email land in his inbox. I'm so incredibly frustrated by this. If they want to abandon pros who need heavy-lifting then so be it, but don't claim otherwise and draw things out ad-infinitum. To those who say that it's been stated to be a 2019 product, I know and think it's irrelevant. The timeline speaks to either their negligence or ineptitude (or both):

2012 - Last expandable Mac Pro released (6+ Years ago)
2013 - Last Mac Pro update of any sort (5 Years ago)
*Tumbleweed*
2017 - Press Conference to announce work on new Mac Pro
*Tumbleweed*
2018 - Press Conference to announce it won't be any time soon
*Tumbleweed*
Today - Still nothing. Not even a mention.

It does not take that long to build what the user base is asking for. If I took half as long delivering to my customers as Apple takes delivering to its pro users I'd be out of clients damn sharp. Apple are playing a short-sighted game. The iPhone will not be a cash cow forever.

If it wasn't clear before, now it's crystal...Not even a mention is a slap in the face. I would back up your email to Timmy, but it's frankly not in their roadmap and not worth wasting bits. What is clear :
AX bionics (and their ecosystem of support chips) stands poised to become the architecture of choice for all devices going forward. I don't see Cupertino settling on a Mac Pro roadmap until the transition to that chipset for laptops and desktops. If the latter are even a thing in next 5 years...In the meantime stack up your minis....Geez. I'm going hackintosh soon...
