Boycott the World!

Hopping in my spaceship and leavin’.

I bet the Planet of Walmatron has Apple Pay.

I’m sure Walmart loves that too 😂😂

I'm sure they do, and I couldn't care less that they know what I buy 😉 In fact, I wish they'd pay closer attention, because often they stop carrying products I buy all the time, and that's annoying!

My only complaint about Walmart is they let salespeople solicit inside and outside stores, which is annoying. I always go out of my way to avoid them.

Walmart wanted to force everyone to use their own system. The world preferred NFC over the WM method. The Evil Mart of W is too prideful to admit they have lost.
what how? you literally scan the qr code the screen and walk out with your items, i've had more problems with NFC in the past and just using the walmart to check out and scan the QR code has got to be the best most painless way to check out.

I've seen Apple Stores doing the same thing where you walk in, scan your item get your digital receipt and leave, it's great no need to flag down a sales rep!

I’m too lazy to boycott anything. I go to places that I prefer and have a better experience at. If I need something that’s only available at Walmart I’ll go there. If I need something and I have a choice between Walmart and Target, then I’m going to pick Target because I have a better experience there. Why wouldn’t anyone go to a place where they have a better experience.

I think when it comes down to it the only reason to shop at Walmart, if you have an alternative is you’re on an extremely tight budget so you do what you have to do to survive.

That’s not the same thing. That’s using Walmart pay. Also, you have to pay $100 a year for the privilege 😂
Lartola hit the nail on the head, walmart pay is scanning the QR code but even then all you need is a free walmart account and it uses whatever form of payment you have on walmart.com. Scan and Go is what lartola mentioned you scan your own items, get your digital receipt and walk out the store without touching the register, Walmart pay needs the QR code off the register that piggybacks off your walmart.com account

Living in the UK this is hard to imagine. I’ve used Apple Pay for 99.9% of all transactions everywhere for the last 3/4 years or more.

(Obviously we have our own far bigger problems at the moment 😂😭)

Walmart InHome will rule the world!

It is awesome.

Do I wish we had other options? Yes.

Is it the best? No.

Though is it at least decent yes.

Again, not the same technology, or the same thing. If all contactless payment was saving your card, then every website has contactless payment. I can save my card on almost any website.

It is not as secure or convenient as contactless payment.

I only shop there once in a blue moon anyway. But with Kroger planning to buy Safeway, what does this mean for Apple Pay? Safeway currently accepts Apple Pay.

America never fails to amaze me.
Im not trying to upset anyone but I know I will.
All you hear about overseas is freedom yet in every way everything just seems to be stacked against the normal person and in favour of big corporations.
I can’t remember the last time I used a physical card never mind cash.

Another reason why I avoid them, especially with the panhandlers who park themselves right at the entrance and exits asking if you can give them any money. And making it worse; by law they are able to do that at Walmarts in California, and there isn't a thing Walmart can do about it, thanks to the lawsuit they lost.

BL.

I guess just like Apple not willing to adopt RCS? 😆
Walmart does what it does because it can, and it's not stopping people from shopping at Walmart.
As if billions of people in the rest of the world are using iMessage? No, nearly nobody uses it outside of the US. Apple has allowed other messaging systems ever since the App Store was launched, and they also let these apps integrate with the iOS notifications and call screens.

And they NEVER will. Walmart is a behemoth and does what's best for Walmart. They make money off of Walmart Pay transactions with Capitol One. At one point Walmart was leaning on its suppliers not to do business with Amazon because they didn't want any of their inner dealings finding its way to Amazon.
Did you read the past the title to see that Walmart Canada does accept Apple Pay?

Only reason Walmart won’t accept Apple Pay is because they won’t be able to track your purchase history and target ads to you. Talked to a couple of higher ups at home office about it when I used to work for Walmart and asked about customers complaining about it. Their response was that they’d never take Apple Pay because of that sole reason. Having the Walmart app open ruins the experience of a speedy checkout because Walmart pay doesn’t always work, occasionally I have to close the app and wait for it to load up AND mess with the touchscreen at self checkout to get the QR code to refresh if I’ve already attempted scanning it (it will fade out and have a dash over it to prevent scanning again).

I would prefer everywhere take ApplePay but at least most places I can use my phone. I dont visit WalMart but I do go to Sams and user their app. I use Kroger Pay and about the only place I use a card now is Home Depot which by the way was the first place I used Apple Pay before they turned it off.

No the cashier still scans your stuff as usual (or you if you use the self checkout kiosks). Then you scan the QR and pay.

No big deal, Target takes Apple pay so that’s where I go. I drive and additional 4 miles so they don’t get my money. Super Target’s groceries are better quality and usually less money anyway.

Does Super Target have all the groceries that Walmart has ?
