The weather is broken on WatchOS 10 beta here.
Greetings fellow WatchOS 10 beta testers - Just an FYI if you have been having issues with weather data dropping out on your watch (I have the Ultra) I have done some testing and may have found a fix or short term solution - edit your watch face (I am using Wayfinder) and choose a different complication besides weather temperature and save it to your watch face - then go back and edit again choosing weather temperature and save - I have been running now two days without the temperature dropping out - it could pop up again but just an FYI

It’s just a complete shame that they are dedicating the side button to control center. I literally need to forget about this button and train myself not to push it because going into control center for me is a one-off rarity. I mean really, what is in control center that you access so often that you need a dedicated button to access it?

I access CC several times a day:

1. Check battery since I use a complication-less Watch Face
2. Enable Water Lock when showering
3. Ping my iPhone
4. Flashlight

I think you are in the minority. I don’t wear my watch in the shower. No sense in getting soap buildup on the band. I don’t lose my phone daily if at all. If I ever need a flashlight, the phone is the go to. I’m not obsessed with checking my battery. My watch charges overnight every night. I could care less about sleep quality. I know when I don’t sleep well and when I don’t.

I also use it daily for flashlight, water lock and checking battery %.
Now I'm not saying moving it to the side button is great at all, it will take me some time to unlearn the swipe up and the side button I used to access recent apps.

Has anyone tried a cycling workout with linked up speed and cadence sensors ? If so can you post a screen shot of the completed workout page, I’m curious how the data layout looks now that we can link sensors…. Thank you

Still having the issue I’ve had since watchOS 7 or 8 where my Watch simply will not stay connected to my WiFi network.

I’ll go out of range of my phone and find that my Apple Watch simply says it doesn’t have internet access rather than switch to my WiFi. Network is set to Automatically Reconnect and I have Private Address turned off.

Then I go into WiFi settings and tap my network, and it connects automatically without making me re-enter my password. . So clearly it’s remembering my network, just not automatically connecting. And it keeps turning Private Address back on.

I’ve submitted feedback and bug reports and participated in this community thread to no avail. Oddly enough, the issue started on my Series 6 and has carried over to my Series 8 set up as a new Watch (no backup). Makes my Watch basically useless when not in range of my phone.

I saw quite a few people commenting about the optimized charging on the 8 WiFi version, stopping at 80%. Has anyone seen that resolve itself? I started noticing it yesterday, and was curious if it stabilized for anyone else.

I can confirm water eject works just fine. I even gave it a proper test and stored it 80’ under water over night. My watch band got snagged and let go last night while I was running some sailboat races. It went for a swim all on its own. I went diving this morning and got my Ultra back. I found the cocky little thing happily in dive mode, warning me I needed the mother of all decompression stops. Water eject worked fine though.
Also did I understand correctly that this was in the Oceanic+ app? thx :)

Double-clicking the digital crown brings up the most recent apps now.

Couple of screenshots below. You'll just have to ignore the long lunch stop in the data...

Eleven pages is a lot to read thru, so...

Has Apple made any changes to what you can pair an Apple Watch to...?

Meaning, can I pair an Apple Watch to an iPad rather than having to have an iPhone...?

What would be awesome would be if I could get an Apple Watch and an iPad, both with cellular capabilities, and use them just as one would with an Apple Watch and an iPhone...?

I would love to pair an Apple Watch Ultra with an iPad mini for everyday use...!

This is a pain. I have 2 45mm S7 watches, 1 Wi-Fi and 1 Cellular. The Wi-Fi version charges like normal, up to 80% and then to 100% before I use it for bed. My cellular only charges to 80% with the little hook going into the center. When I touch the screen, it asks if I want to fully charge or dismiss. Touching fully charge doesn't do anything.

Until this is resolved hopefully in Beta 2 this week or next, I spend my day with a 80% charge S7 45mm cellular and end the day with 30% or so.
