The badge achievement can’t be found in the activity app already but is on the watch. Anyone able to confirm this?

I noticed that on my 7 that control center doesn’t return to clock, it stays on at full brightness until I press the Digital Crown. I never really used control center that much on OS9 so I’m not sure this is expected behavior. Anyone else seeing this?

It’s just a complete shame that they are dedicating the side button to control center. I literally need to forget about this button and train myself not to push it because going into control center for me is a one-off rarity. I mean really, what is in control center that you access so often that you need a dedicated button to access it?

I bet they will. The gesture hasn‘t been re-used for something else, so why take it away.
I think they took it away because some people were experiencing accidental face changes. I know I was and like that it takes a more deliberate action now.

Then they should make it a setting that can be toggled on or off.

Has anyone tried connecting their Decathlon/Domyos exercise bike to their watch for reading cadence and speed during indoor cycling workouts?

You can’t stream over WiFi or Cell with your watch? Is this something 10 related or just a weakness of the WiFi signal?

I don’t keep any music or playlists on my Ultra. It’s all streamed. This is working fine for me.

Apple watch will not connect to any Captive portals, so basically any wifi network that takes you to those "Click accept to connect" pages. Since my gym wifi is one of those that makes you hit 'Agree' every time, the watch will not connect and hence cannot stream from wifi.
Watch will only connect to regular wifi's where you enter a username/pwd and no secondary 'terms' screen, or a free unsecured wifi.
This limits me in the sense i have to download a playlist to the watch so i can then listen to it while working out, but I am limited to that playlist, i cant stream anything else (unless i carry my phone with me as well but that defeats the purpose)
Note: My watch is wifi only, cellular model I guess would be different since you connect to cellular.

Ahh, got it. Luckily my gym (LifeTime) has a traditional WiFi system. I had the SE before I bought this Ultra, but I opted for cellular on the SE and as you know, Ultra only is configured with cellular.

My motivation for making cellular a must are similar to your constraints. I don't want to rely on a wifi network and I don't want to carry my phone with me. I go on hikes a lot, no wifi 5 miles into the woods.

I have found this workaround works for some Captive portals on Apple Watch:
- Connect to the Wifi access point on your Apple Watch
- Quickly open a browser on your Watch....I use the uBrowser App.
- Within the browser go to the address login.com to bring up the Captive portal...if you do not get the portal the WiFi access point has already timed out....try again...see note below.

So that I can open a browser and the link quickly I have created a Shortcut using the Shortcuts app. At the very least you can bookmark login.com in the uBrowser App.

These steps work for my gym Planet Fitness.

Thanks, I saw this work around before and tried it but would not work.....but will try it again.
Usually though when try to log in to the gym wifi, it will not even connect to the SSID (to get to the first step of your process) it just spins and then gives up, but never actually shows the wifi icon connected, so that I can then go to the login.com page.
Why you cannot connect directly is beyond me, since you can do it from the iphone, wish they would implement that.

It's sometimes a hit and miss for me....I've had it connect to the portal even when the Wifi is still spinning. Luckily I do not have to use the method often as I have cellular Apple Watch....just some days I don't have celluar signal in the gym....especially in the back. I never carry my iPhone to the gym and use my Watch to stream music, answer SMS/emails, etc.

Here is my shortcut on AWU action button:

The weather is broken on WatchOS 10 beta here.
I also see the same on my watch series 4 and watch OS 10, none of the weather complications are updating. Clicking on them will load the weather app and it will update the data and show the weather data (and looks correct values), but the complications just show "--".
Had done a hard restart, restarted the phone, and watch, and checked all settings that need to be on are on, but does not change anything. Well I guess we will see what the next Beta will do ...

Is your battery life also *****? Can’t get though half of the day. Series 7 96% health
Watch Series 8 and I have no issues with battery life. First day or so was poor but it’s settled down now and I get what I was getting before WatchOS 10. It will get me through a full night (sleep tracking) and the next day

Mine never settled down. I still have 40-50% more battery drain. I did many restarts.

Mine settled down. My Ultra generally only charges to 80% to protect the battery from cycling. I took it off the charger at 3:30 AM today at 80%, used it for a 45 minute Peloton ride with the heart rate Peloton interface from the watch to the bike over bluetooth. Then went to the gym and streamed music for an hour from the watch to APP's. As I type this, it has been off the charger for 4 hours and 15 minutes and I am at 61%. Seems reasonable given all the processing it was doing.

I can't imagine, that I will charge only for 80%, Ultra will not stay for a day with me (on watchOS 9, on watchOS 10 half a day).
BTW. battery has problem when its stays at 100% for long time, not when you charge it to 100% and put down from charger.

Does anyone know how I can upgrade my watch to the beta version, but not the phone? When I try now it tells me to first upgrade the phone
