Series 8 Latest developer beta.

Anyone else’s Find My functionality on the latest Beta completely redundant? I can find my watch from my phone, but none of my other Apple Devices show up in the find devices on the watch, nor the find friends function.

I have used it previously and as you’d expect my other devices would show up, along with my friend who’s sharing location with me. But on the latest beta, nothing shows up.

Weirdly though, the AirTag I have linked to my iPhone’s find my shows up.

Pics for reference.

All basically working for me. I still have to tap on a contact twice before I get a complete map. Either it shows no map or just a grey map on the first tap. That hasn’t worked for ages, year after year but that’s just Apple for you. And find devices works perfectly apart from the icons are grey.

Interesting. It’s only appeared in the latest beta. Might have to reset and re-pair the watch to see if it’s just a bug.

I have installed watchOS 10 from beta 7 to 8.
On my series 5, I have found that battery with beta 7 was almost the same as watchOS 9.
But with beta 8, it's really bad !
Am I alone ?

I think it was the other way around with my Ultra - weird?!

Is HRV still updated every 2-3 hours in WatchOS 10 as if it was in WatchOS 9?

I erased by mistake my watch and after restoring and repairing with my phone doesn’t sync weather locations.

Try adding a new location on the phone (doesn’t matter which one). That should kick off a sync to the watch

Does anyone elses’s watch vibrate at seemingly random but frequent intervals while tracking a workout? I’m currently out walking and my watch vibrates every 20-120 seconds. No notifications or and significant workout metrics (it’s not like it’s a heart rate thing or distance or pace).

Series 7, latest Dev beta, open outdoor walk workout.

1) now accessible by pressing the bottom side button. This is a massive improvement imo. It was a massive pain trying to access it during a run in the rain previously.
2) now a scrollable grid. Another (albeit subjective) improvement
3) hold and then swipe. No big deal
4) fair point…. I don’t have an ultra but this would annoy me.

Agree with you actually - though I have an Ultra and never use the dark mode anyway

THIS!!! Let me know if you figure things out. The main reason I carry the watch is so i could stream music from my watch (downloaded) while leaving my phone in the locker.
It's all but impossible after this beta. Most days it will either give me an error while trying to play, or it wont find my downloaded playlist, only the stream from the Iphone (which is useless since it stops once I'm out of Bluetooth range). Most days I just get frustrated and bring the phone along, defeating the purpose.
Hope things get better in the next few betas.

Edit: Clarity
I still have issues. The only way I can get to play music via watch to my Beats Fit Pro is to completely shut down my phone. Anyone else still having issues with handoff to watch?

See my earlier posts on this. You need to go to Now Playing, AirPlay menu, Control other speakers and TVs, and then select Apple Watch as the source. I agree it’s an abomination.

I tried this and it doesn't seem any different than just hitting the top right Airplay menu, selecting Control Other Devices and selecting Apple Watch. Unfortunately, a very good amount of the time it then asks me for the output device which are my airpod pros that are already confirmed connected but proceed to tell me it can't connect to them. It is a poop show to say the least, but I have a work around that has been working. See below.

It is so frustrating, annoying and time consuming. It's definitely broken. You tell the watch to play from the watch and it can't find an output device to play to even though it says the pods are connected.

Here is something that has been working and gets me going relatively quickly. Turn off Bluetooth on your phone. This will force the pods (and watch) to disconnect from the phone. Then doubleclick the crown and kill Music and any other open apps. Then go through the paces of selecting the watch to play music. May take one or two tries, but it's worked for me all week at the gym.

Not getting notifications sounds or alerts. Any fix?
For the last couple of updates my Series 8 that is NOT running 10 disables notifications with every update. Just go into settings and turn notifications back on and all will work fine.
