Anyone with 10.1 beta 2? What's battery?
I have reports from people using Ultra 1 that has worse battery life with 10.0.1 that previous watchOS release.
I took mine off the charger at 100% at 3:15 AM. Did a 30 minute Peloton class with the watch peloton app linked and tracking heart rate. Then did a 60 minute workout at the gym with the Workout App running and streaming music from the watch to my APP2's. Posting this at 7:31 AM and I am at 79%. No clue how that compares as I don't obsess and notice my battery as long as it gets me through the day. It is on the charger overnight, every night.

Another thing to check: does the 10.1 beta fix the issue with the new Nike Globe face where it’s always 12-hour time even when the watch is set to 24-hour time?

What bug is this?

Okay, does anyone go on walks or something and leave their phone at home, and try to listen to music from the watch (either using cell or what you have downloaded) on your AirPods? Seems like every time I attempt to connect my AirPods to my watch and go for a walk, it's a struggle to connect my AirPods and play music seamlessly.

I was under the assumption the AirPods were supposed to "just work" and connect to whatever device they are paired with and being used at the moment. I haven't really noticed this, with the watch specifically. I have the 2nd gen AirPods, the Apple Watch Ultra, iPhone 15 and they don't really play well together as I think they should.

Not the biggest issue, but curious if I am doing something wrong.

Nah it’s a pain and always has been... the issue date back years. My beats headphones almost always connect to my phone and I have to manually connect them to my watch. This tends to result in repeated connection failed messages. Eventually it’ll work but it’s a daily headache for me.

It’s a MAJOR pia. Pisses me off when I just want to start my workout and I have to f’ck with it for 10 minutes. “AirPods not connected” when they are. “Failed to connect” etc, which leads to a reboot of the watch and then it works.

All this said, I have had 100% luck of recent with:

1
Turn off WiFi and Bluetooth on the phone. (Not Airplane Mode)

2
Kill all apps running on the watch.

3
Walk away from wherever your phone is.

4
When you are far enough away from your phone, launch Music in the watch. Should work.

Thanks!! I'll give it a try next time. I literally have all the newest devices on the most recent software and keep thinking it'll get better..

I find the most reliable way is to switch my phone off…get stuff up and running on the watch then turn the phone back on again. It’s not ok though.

Is anyone else having issues with 10.1 beta 2 and the watch app? I click in Music in the watch app to see if I can upload a playlist or album and it freezes. Restoring the watch didn’t help.

I have a couple of problems with Apple Music on my Ultra 2 with 10.1 Beta 2.

1) when I try to add music via the Watch app, I get a message saying songs will be added but then nothing happens. In the past it would be slow to add songs but eventually they would add.

2) When using the Music app without my iPhone, it now crashes when I try to play a playlist. Havent seen this until this beta.

anyone seeing either or both of these? Appreciate this is an earlyish beta and hopef will be resolved.

I had the same problem. I’ve realized I had to use the (not-so-intuitive) AirPlay device selection option to force the sound going directly from the Watch to the earphones (i.e. not via the iPhone). Try if that works for you.

That’s how it started in mine. Now it just crashes if it try to open music in the watch app. Haven’t experienced 2 though.

If you factory reset an Apple Watch does it revert to the original software it was sold with / programmed to or will it stay on the latest Watch OS downloaded onto the watch (ie oS 10)?

The problem for me here and some others is that when you select the AirPods, the watch tells you they aren’t connected when in fact they are. They say connected under Bluetooth.

Yeah I always try this first. It works sometime but not others. I actually think the podcast app is generally buggy so not sure what’s a pairing issue and what’s an app issue.

On the ultra 2 I have the following issue:

on the Music app, if I search a song on the watch itself and something is already playing, the new song won’t play no matter how many times I try. And the graphic glitches out
