Dayyum that seems pants! My ultra 1 stayed on 100% for the first year and a bit and has only just gone down to 99%.

Perhaps it is normal then on the U2…?
Battery capacity loss is normal on an Apple Watch after a year of use, if you use it a lot and charge it sparingly. However, Ultra users should expect to see this change after two years. This is based on the responses here prior to the battery health bug in 11.2 developer beta.

Yes I know but the AW2 is only a few months old. The battery seems to be degrading somewhat quicker than expected, especially when comparing to my U1. Obvs this is only 2 people’s experience so hardly concrete evidence

Y'all Apple addressed it in release notes, they even left a note on my feedback. Here are a few screenshots of these updates:

Did your Apple Watch heat up in any way? Also if you wear an ultra or series 9, optimized charge limit is with the same setting as optimized battery charging. You need to shut it off altogether.

For reference, what series Apple Watch are you wearing?

I have these multi packs of sport bands as well.

TJX and Marshall’s even typically mark down bands in dirt cheap prices, I got two sport bands for only $4 bucks.

How does the LV band look like on ultra watches? Kind of odd to put on nice bands like a classic buckle on a rugged Apple Watch made for the outdoors.
The latest delivery. I got two of these, this one and one in army green. Adds a lot of size to the Utra, like it needed more, hahaha. Definitely has a presence.

My Ultra 2 (2023) battery health went down from 92% to 90% before finally being fixed with beta 3. It was at 100% before the bug appeared and is now back up to 99% which is probably pretty accurate considering I have had it since release date last September.

These bands look great, but they do add a lot of bulk to the watch. I saw them on Amazon and they are not available for smaller watches. The orange rings on the lugs look amazing and they match the watch perfectly.

Isn't it supposed to revert back to the normal 100%? Natural titanium Ultra 2s are only a year old.

After 14 months and I have never used the Optimized Charge Limit setting, the 99% health showing now I would consider more accurate than the 100% it was showing. I also let the battery run out completely and power off on its own to try to calibrate the battery about a week ago. Without actual battery mAh numbers it's hard to say what 99% actual means. Could be 99.1% or even 99.9% depending how Apple rounds the number.

I will say with this latest beta 3, I feel like the idle battery drain is better. My 91% battery health AWU1 seems to be draining less while not actively interacting with the watch.

I may assume this is the case of how owners of iPhone 15 Pro and AW Series 8-9 and Ultras seen after they owned after a year, and realizing the drop of 1-3% of battery capacity. Only once I let my Apple Watch run out of battery as I did not have a charger with me during a very long outing, I usually charge it if it’s below 45-50%.

I really hope battery drain gets better…the most recent Betas have been terrible in my humble opinion. Just updated to Beta 3 last night.

Which Apple Watch do you wear and beta test on watchOS 11.2?
lol. Oops.
I have a Black UW2 and was running developer 11.2 beta 2 and it seemed to lead to battery drain. I don’t use AOD and run almost nothing in background. Background refresh was off

Too early to tell on beta 3

My AW Series 9 dropped down to 88% in B2 but has reverted back to 95% (have owned it since September’23).

Battery life does seem better in this build - even with AOD on it’s only dropped 50% since taking it off charge last night.

Tried the WatchOS 11 beta, and the new watch faces are great! Fitness tracking feels smoother, but I've noticed a few app crashes and battery drain. Hoping these issues get fixed before the final version. Excited to see it mature!

How long did you wear your Apple Watch? Last night my Apple Watch dropped to 48% during sleep tracking… had to put it on the charger before my workout.
