Is the new Siri on watch with beta 3 slow for anyone? Asking to play a song from Watch using Siri takes 5 to 10 seconds. Asking to open door comes back something went wrong. From phone it works properly only watch has issues.

Yes very slow.

You're reported the issue right?

I haven't seen anyone else bring up this issue so I'm unsure if it is a setting I missed. I will report it if it does appear to be a bug - I know betas exist to get user feedback.

Please do report it and if I get a chance, I’ll try the same on mine when I’m out.

Even on the Ultra 3 with B3, it's very slow. It seems nothing is getting processed on the device at the moment. Siri can't even set a basic timer; went to ask Siri to create a simple reminder when I was slightly out of range on my phone earlier, and it couldn't even do that; it refused. At the moment, new watch Siri on B3 is absolutely useless.

On the iPhone, the new Siri is amazing; Siri in this watch beta version is crap; really hope B4 fixed this.

I got Siri to create a timer the second time I asked. The first time, she just failed to do it even after I asked and she replied. Yes, Siri is still slow to respond, though not as slow as my phone's response initially. B3 has been the best of all the 27 betas on my watch. As most have stated, I do a hard restart after the phone is done. This seems to clear up a lot of things, and even my battery seems to be in better shape. On beta 2, I was charging daily on my AU3. I am almost back to 3 days on beta 2. I can easily get 2 days. I usually give it a bit of juice so I can get through the full 3rd day.

For me Siri is not working as well as it did before the beta on my S11 Ti. Sometimes it fails completely. All Siri on the watch is slow. The phone is faster but not a lot.

Same here before this Beta Siri would do stuff like add items to my shopping list turn on specified lights etc but not now!
Folks, have you all had a chance to provide your feedback on it? I’ve heard that it’s quite widespread, so I’d prefer to have feedback IDs so that others can link the reports together and bring it to Apple’s attention.

I can simply raise the watch to my mouth and say “set timer 5 minutes” or I can open Siri on the watch and say the same thing. Both work.

Bro's series 11 still can do timer and Siri AI above 👆

I tried going through this thread to make sure nobody has posted this already. Apologies if I missed it.

Is anyone having an issue with the side button being supersensitive? I'm finding that my Apple Watch is going into theater mode a lot. I think it's happening while washing my hands (which I do a lot because of my work). This wasn't a problem with WatchOS 26.

Interesting. Has any of the buttons gotten dirty at all? What series is your Apple Watch ⌚️?

Any experience from anyone on how Siri AI works over WiFi if you don’t have your iPhone with you? I’m often in this situation at work and in the gym. Apples infomation on this seems a bit vague!

Siri was bad. It still takes longer two do my two most common requests, "Start outdoor workout" (which was timing out completely but now works, but taking about six seconds to get to the countdown screen), and "Open mindfulness"; it is requiring mindfulness to deal with the wait! 🙂 So far iI am not seeing any use cases that are not worse on the Watch than the voice commands which were basic but did work pretty reliably in watchOS 26, but genuinely trying to keep an open mind.

But I saw AppleForeverandever's post and I have also had weird Stand misses two times now (running DP3). I'm also doing a heart study and they want me to take my watch off for two clear hours to sync, and when putting it back on, on two out of three days so far it has been really difficult to get any movement even to register, never mind count. In the screenshot, you can see the gap. It finally registered when I had activated a HIIT workout, and even then only when crossing in the 3 PM hour (I'd started about 2:50).

I have fed back (FB23803543) but I'm curious to know if anyone else is having this? My total guess is there is something about that two hour charge that is putting the gyroscope into hibernation and it is not properly waking up.

Not sure what happened here but never seen this before. There are two hours missing from my stand graphic yesterday. Strange.

Updated to Watch OS 27 user beta and now the watch/IOS app no longer measure VO2MAX nor Cardio recovery. Those 2 metrics no longer update and only reflect the last values recorded in Watch OS 26. 2 long outdoor runs and those things don't change. All other metrics are changing, heart rate, heart rate variability, running speed. All update after the run so we know the watch is recording and communicating to the phone. VO2 Max and Cardio recovery not longer work in the user beta.

Fine on mine with Ultra 2 on dev betas. Please report it.

I did report with screen shots of run and the VO2MAx list showing it did not record the run plus whatever system logs Apple pulled. Series 11. Long outdoor runs should have moved those metrics. They just show old dates since last update

My wrist temperature stopped recording 4 days ago. Left feedback and more than 10 have same issue.

Anyone on here have same issue?

Not sure if this is iOS or watchOS or something else. However since I updated to the Public Betas Wednesday I have done 2 runs (Thursday&Saturday) and both are missing the Maps of my run (like an Indoor workout). All other data is present except rendering the Maps. I ran Monday before the Betas and that run and all before have Maps.

Just asking Siri to set a 12 minute timer today, it hesitated for almost a minute before it said it has started a timer
Lucky you. I ask Siri on my watch to set a timer and I'm told every time either "I can't set a Timer now because the Clock app is unavailable" or "I can't set a Timer on this Device". Hoping for a new beta this week that fixes the problem.

Well installing the public beta was a bad decision for me. I noticed the day after when my wakeup alarm went off that dismissing the alarm on my watch didn't dismiss it on my phone. The next thing I noticed is that my sleep time wasn't syncing to my phone. All the while, I was still getting notifications on my watch and it was connected to my phone via bluetooth. Then I noticed that unlocking my phone didn't unlock my watch so I went into the settings on the watch app on my phone to see if the option was somehow disabled, but going to Passcode in the settings it would just sit and spin for a bit and then I would get a message that the watch wasn't connected. I checked bluetooth again and it was. I then rebooted both devices but that didn't change anything. I then removed the watch from my phone and reset it via settings on the watch and tried to re-pair. After I get through the stage where it asks you to point the phone at the watch to connect, it connects and asks if I want to setup from a backup or setup new. Whatever option I choose, it spins for a bit saying it is trying to connect and then it fails.

iPhone 16 Pro
Apple Watch Series 10

EDIT: Switch to the Dev Beta in the iPhone settings and got the beta 4 that was just released for the phone and I was able to pair my watch.

To concur with a number of others, Siri on my AW Ultra 3 (Cellular) has been absolutely useless since installing beta 3. Siri will stubbornly not work at all unless my iPhone is nearby and connected (I am having trouble reaching your personal device), and even when connected to the iPhone Siri refuses point blank to do simple things like set timers, alarms, turn on/off HomeKit devices, etc (throws up the 'no Clock app installed' error, which is HILARIOUS as IT'S LITERALLY A CLOCK).

There is also an issue where the Music app will crash every single time I try to play anything on the watch.

Everything reported, and I really hope that these issues are fixed in the next beta... if any of this lingers into the final release then it basically renders the watch useless for me.

Tried an un-pairing and re-pairing of my watch but still no map recording. No doubt the watch beta is BY far the poorest of the batas and worst part is there is no way to revert. Guess I will try and find a running app that will record maps while waiting on Apple to get watchOS beta up to snuff.
