That is one serious case of First World Problem you’ve got there.
But it’s not surprising that Apple releases something, it takes Waze a while to release support for it, then a bug with an exotic car shows up and it takes time to figure out and solve the problem. Such is life.

If that were the case Google Maps (made by the same company) would have the same issues.

Google Maps works great, yet Waze sucks.

Its not an Apple issue.

Been using it for a few weeks now... I couldn't wait for Waze for CarPlay to be released. And once I got it it it seemed like a huge step backwards to the Apple Maps or Google Maps I was using before.

When you are in Navigation mode it seems to screw up a lot, showing me driving on a road that I am not on.

When I get off the route to take a different way, it takes a long time for it to figure out that I changed my route.

The graphics were like going from an XBOX ONE to a Colecovision especially when compared to the Satellite View in Google Maps. The cartoon icons of seeing other Wazers near you just looks goofy now.

The only thing its got going for it that I like are the notifications. But with the other traffic packages offering live traffic on your route these warnings almost seem useless. (Look out there is a car pulled over on the side of the road, An accident has been reported ahead... etc)

Waze was great... but now I think it needs an overhaul. If they added the notifications to Goole Maps, I think that would be the ultimate Navigation platform.

Agreed with everything you said. I tried it again a few days ago and still was not impressed. I wish Apple was faster to update it's maps. For example, there are two way streets that Apple still shows as 1-way on my commute. It is the only reason I still see if Waze is getting better.
