There is no reason to use most google services on Apple devices. No reason that has weight that is. If i need a feature iCloud is lacking for example i will go to some small player and support him instead.

Google's services work on all platforms.Apple apps don't .So you are sunk if you ever plan on using an iPad and iPhone with an Windows PC
Also Google Maps and Google Photos,Google Now make Apple Maps,iCloud and Siri look like a joke

The included YouTube red subscription makes it a no brainer. What is the compelling advantage of Apple Music over google play?
Well I guess if you sit in the basement all day watching music and cat videos then ok Google music/YouTube red is a good deal. You ask a question that has no objective answer.

I've owned iPhone since the iOS 1.0. I've downloaded countless apps and integrated my entire computer life in Apple stuff. Moving to Android is a bad idea. Besides the fact that none of my purchases transfer, which I can estimate to be about $10,000 in total, I don't like Android for one big reason.

Android isn't really owned by anyone, it's just a bunch of custom builds by many companies. iOS was designed to be functional, Android feels more like an OS where developers throw different things at it and see what sticks.

Not only that but Android talks about new features but the update that carries those features is limited by device by the carrier. This just goes to show how unstable the platform is: the company that makes the device can't even control the release cycle for updates, you as a user can't update your device for the security fixes.

So when people say Android is better, I have a hard time believing it since it's such a vulnerable platform. iPhones are much more resilient because the updates are provided by Apple and the carrier cannot block them. People might try to argue that iPhones are super expensive, but to be completely honest I've spent less on iPhones than a friend of mine spent on Android phones trying to keep up with security fixes. He finally gave up and bought an iPhone when we compared phone maintenance expenses over the past 5 years.

Nonsense, I've been using iPhones since 2011 with my Windows 7 PC without any issues. I don't use iCloud or Google photos, Apple maps has gotten a lot (really) better though Google is still the king, and Siri is disadvantaged mainly because Apple has a stronger privacy policy than Google.

Not even close imo.
Ive used both and they are quite similar in content.
More songs. There are plenty of songs I listen to that are on Apple but nowhere to be found on Google. Especially international music.
Both services offer around 35 million songs. So no, Apple music does NOT have more Songs. Ive used Google play music for a few years now and ive NEVER not found a song im after. I love how people use their own opinion and state it as fact.....

I am more of a Google guy than Apple guy myself but starting to hate Google Services always creating wakelocks and killing my battery on standby. What ecosystem? Google doesn't force one upon us Android users like Apple does with iOS via iTunes, iMessages, and iCloud.

Any Google app like say YouTube, Google Voice, and Gmail, I now use a browser for them to prevent Google Services from waking up. I use Maps Me (offline maps) over Google Maps. I sideload apps when I need to. Hate how Google killed the Nexus branding and got greedy with prices. I enjoy Google but I wouldn't trust them either.

The Google Pixels have never me excited. No Google retail stores to check them in personal and questionable after service, no sale. Google is still figuring it out how to be a hardware vendor. Apple seems to be the only to nail them all (hardware, software, services).

This is why I do use both. Google Play Music is a better product, but Apple Music has a better library by far.

However in a pinch if I could only have one it would be Google play music and buy songs here and there on iTunes.

If the only Apple device one has is an iPhone then it is not a big decision to change. I have an iPhone, MacBook Pro, iPad Pro 9.7, iPad mini 4, iMac, and Apple Watch. They way they all integrate together is so good that I cannot give that up - getting any other phone would just wreck everything. I believe that people who only have an iPhone (eg. Windows users), and no other IOS/MacOS device, are missing out.

Most people I see who have an Android or iPhone don't use any cloud service anyways - pretty much just messaging and Facebook and email.

That is because they don't know any better and they are using it wrong. Most have a carrier store set their phones up for them, which in turn, leads to a rushed setup, which in turn leads to NOTHING being set up.

You know nothing about me. I have not used YouTube in maybe 5 years. I do not use Google products, period. You are wasting your breath on such a POS outdated phone.

I don't know about you and I have no interest with getting know about you.

Though I will say. Compare with Pixel phone, iPhone 7 is the "POS outdated phone".

Look at the iPhone 7. Crappy battery life, 720P screen in 2016 that looks dull compare with QHD AMOLED display, the camera has been beaten up Pixel phone, base 32GB storage offers crappy read and write speed, the list goes on and on.

Good luck with your overpriced piece of crap. The only thing remotely good from Apple was the iPhone SE. But sorry, iOS really turns me away. I haven't had stay with iOS for more than a month in past few years. Always gravitated back to Android before month ends.

Sorry, Pixel phone is not "POS outdated phone", your iPhone is

This is exactly why refuse use Apple services. I have not brought any music, movies or anything rally from iTunes , iBooks. I do everything from Google Play store. Everything i have is available on iOS, Android and Windows.

And you need to know Android bit more. This is how Android works: Google make Android, made it available to AOSP, then OEMs take AOSP to make their own Android fork.

Now, Google does control Andriod. In order for OEMs make Android phone, they need get certification and install Google Play Services. The only thing Google does not control is how OEM implementing its GUI and add on to Android. In all and all, regardless wether TouchWiz or HTC Sense, they all run Android.

Google annually release Nexus phone and changed to Pixel phone this year. Nexus and Pixel phone runs pure Android without OEM skin and add on. Google controls the Android and update the software directly.

There is no reason for me to buy iPhone anymore. There is none. Android offers much more choices and often at lower cost.

Everyone's experience is different. I can't stay with Android more than a month, and I've owned several Android flagship phones. Just personal preference.

Beside Nexus and Pixel phone, o used Moto X. I never buy Samsung, HTC or LG or other phone.

There is nothing iPhone can matches experience from pure Android. None.

Cameras seem to be fairly close, sometimes one being a little better and other times another one.

When it comes to storage speeds, understanding SSD might be of some help, in addition to differences between read and write.

And let's not forget performance: http://www.redmondpie.com/google-pixel-pixel-xl-vs-apple-iphone-7-7-plus-benchmarks-comparison/

How about you quit using agenda to make you feel better about your phone choice.

It's still to most the best operating system that is unmatched in performance, updates and customer service. As for overpriced? all phones are overpriced but you sure as hell get better value for money getting an iphone. Certainly when it comes to selling your iphone to get a new one. Where the android resale value is rather embarrassing.

Sure the pixel has a great camera but so does the 7/7 plus. Is there much difference between the two? no there isn't really.

You are entited to say IOS isn't for you but to dismiss as not a great user experience is foolish.

I disagree with the crappy battery life part as the iPhone 7 Plus has the best battery life out of any smartphone out there. While OLED may wipe the floor with any LCD the 7 Plus LCD is one of the best LCD displays. The SSD thing is the nature of the beast. My Samsung Evo SSD in my desktop will be slower than a higher capacity SSD

Android destroys iOS in a few areas and vice versa

LOL, Pixel is very slow compared to iPhone, plus the battery life especially for the plus is excellent. Again, why are you here?

It doesn't. Allo is garbage. Google should have stuck with Hangouts and just made it better.

Unless google integrates a web based chat service with the normal text messages they can never beat iMessage. I don't know why Allo even came into this conversation.

You know this is alternative section... This section is not for Apple fans right. And iPuoje 7 sucks ball... All I said about iPhone 7 are true... And how do you know Pixel is very slow compared to iPhone? You holding one? I can tell u while my Nexus 6 is slower than iPhone 7, but not by much and it costs me 299 to get one.

It's still to most the best operating system that is unmatched in performance, updates and customer service? You serious? Yeah for sure you handicaps the OS with crappy hardware.

How about true mutiltasking and background tasks? I still waiting for two app running at same time. Talking about battery life? I guess you never owned Huawei Mate series phone. Huawei Mate 8 can run 2-3 days without charging with fairly heavy usage, you cannot say something about iPhone.

Talking about customer service, how about Apple replacing phone with "touch disease" for free? That is about customer service.. not charging you 400 dollar for a replacement phone.. and problem will come back. Also, I have never had any problem with my Android phone anyway... I never really need contact customer support for anything.

Talking about updates. This is essentially no issue for me and most people. I have seen people still running iOS 5 until this day. My old iPhone 6 still with iOS 8...by the way, even phone makers like Xiaomi provides monthly Android security updates. Something you do not get with iPhone.

iPhone is overpriced crap... Apple charging so much for such outdated hardware.. Give me a break about 720P LCD screen and call it the best screen. The display alone is not worth to considering. Let alone the crappy limited iOS...

I meant why are you at this site, you've posted similar attacks on other parts of the forum. And you're formulating subjective opinions, all I know is all the main tech sites say the A10 chip is the fastest on the market at the moment.
