well i finally ordered a mac pro!

I called apple to see if I could change the shipping to overnight (cause I really want it by the weekend
). They told me it won't help, cause the machine comes from china and it takes 3 days to get to the US. She told me that it isn't left china yet... Once in the US, then they use your preferred shipping method to get it to you. I'm not sure how valid this is, but it is what the people told me .I'm really hopping it goes out today and maybe I'll get it by friday.

I'm yet another one waiting for the Mac Pro I ordered. This totaly blows. When you order something that says estimated shipping in 2-4 days and pay extra for overnite shipping, it's not that illogical to think you'd receive it in 3-5 days from the day you ordered. Instead, my estimated ship date is the 6th with a delivery of the 10th - for a system I ordered on the 1st!

I ordered on October 2 early in the day (before business hours in Cali). My order included a Mac Pro, 30" display, printer, and a couple other small items. I did not pay for expedited shipping. The small items arrived today; the printer and display are due to arrive tomorrow. The Mac Pro (2.66/250gb/2gb/X1900XT/bt/airpt) currently shows as "not yet shipped" on the order status page. My expected ship date is Oct 6; the expected delivery date is Oct 16.

Excellent computer. Hey, heres a quick question I have regarding the superdirves on the mac pro.
When you order one superdrive, does the case still look like it has two, but only one works? Or does it only have one, like on the PowerMac G5. Because I would hope it would have two, even if one works because of expandibility and looks.

Eh this kindas stinks anyway, I got the email this morning when I woke up and it said that it shipped on Oct 4th and would be delivered on Oct 6th. Well the FedEx site updated today and it said it shipped on the 5th and won't be here until the 9th
. I'm really hoping I get lucky and I can go pick it up tomorrow or something.Oh well -- I should've paid for overnight shipping...

Yeah I can imagine....the only thing that sucks for me is I'll be out of town from Mon - Wed next week, so if it doesn't arrive tomorrow I'm not sure when I'll get it. So it looks like Apple sent fedex a notice on Oct 4th at 11pm or so, so I don't think I'm going to get it tomorrow. I'm really hoping to get lucky, has anyone ever gotten lucky with fedex
