I am mainly curious to see whether sales drop dramatically when Apple removes the 3.5mm jack or not.

This is neither a "diss Apple" nor "if you can't afford $199 headphones don't buy an iPhone" post.

I kinda like to diss Apple now days so I hope that the iP7 sales hurt if there's no 3.5mm headphone jack...But as Marques Brownlee states in his new video: Apple has a habit to drop this and that; people get angry at first but in the end they all get used to the new "Apple norm". So, no: iPhone 7 sales are gonna break records once again...

I feel so boring but at this point the only phone I'm interested in is the iPhone 7 :(

Well, I'm in the same boat and for the first time that I can recall, not even that excited in the next iPhone. And not because I don't like the direction Apple is headed...I just really don't see a major deficiency in the 6s+ that needs a huge overhaul. No, I don't think it's a perfect phone but it now really meets all my needs and expectations (camera, battery life, overall speed and performance). Of course there are little changes that would be great...smaller bezels, even better camera...but I can't see a huge deficiency that would push me to get the 7+.

But then again, I also have shown no history of will power to skip any iPhone generation so....:p

I had a conversation with my wife earlier about whether it's worth upgrading this year too. It seems silly paying £30 a month for a new phone when our iPhone 6's are perfectly good phones. I am beginning to lose interest in new devices and feel the last 12 months have showed how much the market has plateaued. Nothing particularly exciting has come out at all. With the talk of the headphone jack disappearing too I think it would be wise to run my current iPhone 6 into the ground. We'll see.

I am super happy with the 6S, almost no chance I will buy the 7 :p

I'm very interested to see if samsung will back track and re-add features they have taken away. I'd love to see them become more of an anti-apple again with sd card, IR blaster, and if we're dreaming a metal unibody w/ removable battery. If I'm not going to buy apple, I want all the goodies Apple won't give me.

To wrap up my own thread, I am only seriously interested in three phones this year;

- HTC One M10
- OnePlus Three
- Nexus-N

And more curious about the iPhone 7, only if iOS 10 is a MAJOR overhaul, as it is iOS 9 feels like a decade outdated, and you couldn't pay me to use a current iPhone, yeah the hardware and phone design by Apple truly is awesome, but man iOS 9 just feels so locked down, and limiting. Now give me an iPhone 6S Plus that could have C13 ROM flashed on it, then we're talking LOL :)

Just curious, what would you want in iOS 10?

Me, I want multi window, more customizable home screen, home screen widgets, an iCloud Drive app (file manager), redesigned phone app (the Google phone app is fantastic), and the ability to select default apps.

I'd love most of that as well (there is already an iCloud Drive app--wasn't sure if you meant local storage access) but reality is that it's unlikely that we'll see any. :(

There is? I can't find it, is it preinstalled or in the App Store? What I want is something like the iCloud Drive on the app, where it's basically a file manger that is synced with iCloud. This way I can say copy a file on my Mac to my iCloud Drive and then be able to view it on my iPhone. Similar to the iCloud photos app, but for files. I do seem to remember it being mentioned in a keynote, but I have yet to find the app.

Pretty much this, and I'll be a first day iPhone 7 owner.

This is awesome, I uploaded my documents folder and now I have access to everything on my iPhone. Now if only I could make it the default documents folder on my Mac. Any ideas on how to do this?

I don't know what to say as far as an ios 10 wishlist. Everything I think of seems like a pipe dream apple won't implement.

I want to give a shout out to ios' content blockers though. They are awesome

Customizable home screen, customizable Control Center, a clear all notifications button, and the ability to set different default apps top my wish list. I live fine without them but those would have the greatest impact on how I use my iPhone. I rarely use home screen widgets on Android and actually like the iOS widget implementation so don't personally need that and I won't likely ever use multiwindow on my phone so that one doesn't entice me at all.

I know it has been mentioned here multiple times in various threads, but the Nextbit Robin has a revolutionary concept, even if the implementation might get a little wonky.

Holy crap, awesome. Thanks! And it seems to work exactly how I wanted. Well, that's one down.
Well, after playing around with it last night, it's almost exactly what I want. 2 things it needs are the ability to make it the default folder in OSX for your documents and stuff, and 2 you need to be able to download stuff to it on the iPhone/iPad. So far I can only send attachments there from emails, but I should be able to download a file or save a picture from Safari to iCloud. Other than though, it's great. Surprised Apple hasn't pushed this more as a way to get people to start paying for iCloud storage.

Time, because it rules EVERYTHING!
I should of added I'm looking forward to my birthday present, it will be an Nvidia Shield Android TV 16GB :) It's intrigued me for a while so will be interesting to use, it will sit alongside my Amazon Fire TV first gen.

It's really annoying in the UK as we don't get any of these a la cart options like HBO Go etc, so their is little to separate the streaming boxes. Makes it more tricky to cut the cord.

Anyway will be looking forward to playing Metal Gear Solid and Half Life 2 on it :)

At least you get BBC iPlayer & ITV etc... Here we get Netflix & Youtube and that's about it. :(

New video. Cases for the S7, S7 edge & S7 plus compared.

S7 looks like its going to be near identical to the s6. S7 edge is slightly bigger than ex9sting edge.

That is bad! Hopefully the TV Player app works well with its £5 a month sub for lots of extra channels like Discovery and History, throw in Amazon Prime / Netflix and Now TV if you must and it should be semi decent.

I was hopeful that Apple would change it all on these shores, alas it wasn't to be :(

And now with rumors that the iPhone 7+ may include a dual lens camera system, my interest has once renewed. The benefits outlined seem quite significant.

Bar the silly size of it. I really am not a big phone person. Will be interesting to see what they come up with though. Let's hope the storage starts at 32GB and not 16GB eh haha?

Understand that. Thankfully (or not as there now might be a reason for me to upgrade ;)) I love larger phones so I'll be very curious to see its implementation. And completely agree...time to do away with the 16GB option--keep that on the previous year models if at all.

A system that was once implemented by HTC but for other reasons. Evo 3D had 2 lenses, but it was designed to produce 3D photos. And the HTC One M8 also had 2 but its primary function was for depth perception.

What we really need is a true 4 lens system with each lens carrying a major color scheme (RGB) with the 4th one used for corrective balance. It will beat out most P&S cameras outside those with amazing optical zoom. It will also produce more natural colors than most cameras.
