@Mlrollin91 - I have yet to receive my 8+ in the mail (supposed to come Tuesday). When you say faster charging, you mean the 7.5w? The Anker box says to get 7.5w I have to use a 2a charger. So yeah, an iPad brick (10-12w) or any Anker plugin charger should work.

Looking forward to seeing the draw on my Kill-a-watt when I get my 8+ this week (been a long... long wait (ordered Friday the 15th)).

Okay sounds good. Thanks for the information. I'm using an Aukey charger and its terrible. Using a 5W v. 12W doesn't seem to make a difference.

The Specifications on the Anker Wireless charger says this:

Input: 5V = 2A, 9V = 1.8A
Output: 5V = 1A, 9V = 1.1A

Am I correct in assuming that the 8/8+ needs a software update to use the faster wireless charging?

Edit: Darn, I'm not certain if this is for my slower Anker wireless charger that I bought for my bed or the faster QI one linked here. (I bought both) but only have 1 paper at my desk.

Edit2: Found the paper, the above is for the Anker Wireless charger linked above. :) All good.

I've been seeing that around the forums today, but I have no issue getting faster charging with my 29W brick vs my 12W brick. Its about 5-8% higher after 30 minutes when comparing the 2.

The Aukey I have is 5V=2A input and 5V=1A output.

$15.97. There is a blue light that turns on while charging that I wish wasn’t there, but other than that, it’s good.

Get any ****** cheapish one now and wait a few months - there will be LOADS more on the market in the upcoming months! I'm using a ****** old one that I used for my S7 and it works perfectly fine but it's ugly so I'm definitely gonna upgrade it when more companies come out with them!

I will be buying the samsung fast charge wireless charger. I don’t want a wireless pad that is just flat. At night I will want to have it standing up while charging.

My 8 Plus will be here in 2 days and am looking to order a wireless charger soon. Anybody pick one up yet or have your eye on one? I really like the stands over the pads. May buy both, stand for home and pad for trips/car use.

These are the ones I’m looking at:

I have the Anker one in your first link, works very well for me.
