For me, it's swipe right to search. My most used apps are on my first home screen, and I used to be able to just zip back there with a few quick thumb zips. Now zipping right dumps me into search, and I have to do a left swipe to get to where I need to be. My iPodT5 is "too old" to have this horrible "feature," thank Jobs. I wish there was a way to turn it off on my newer iOS devices.

What's your personal iOS9 peeve?

"Thanks Jobs"? You do know we have this Spotlight since at least iOS 4, the one Jobs demoed with iPhone 4, right?

If all your most used app are on first page then just hit Home button once and whatever page you are you'll be right back to the first page. What is so hard about this?

The noticeable lag/delay and spontaneous frame issues.

Also, the new spotlight recommendations and news thing is quite pointless due to it's lack of configurability. Maybe in future versions of iOS Apple improves this feature.

Slide Over in general is ok but it lacks:
1) open the app that you have open in slide over to change to main app (full screen)
2) search bar
3) deselect apps that you don't want to show in the list of apps that support Slide Over

Keyboard
The general keyboard response is very slow (Apple's keyboard or 3rd party keyboards)
I have to press two times in the search bar or text area to finally get my keyboard to start typing. Do others have this issue? I get this problem with my iPad mini2 running iOS9.

Mail
You can finally attach files other then JPG/video right from the Mail app (instead of starting with another app e.g. Dropbox) to add an attachment from the cloud. Unfortunately the way it does it is so awfull:
1) you have to press in your e-mail text area, scroll to 'add attachment' and then you can select your cloud storage location(s) to grab the file (see also this Apple video). It would be so much easier to tap a paperclip icon like Spark and CloudMagic can. I love Spark and i wish they soon launch an iOS9 update with iPad support. For now i will stick to CloudMagic for iPad. Both still lack features as i've wrote in this other wiki E-mail topic in the iOS8 recently.
2) you cannot attach multiple files at once from a cloud storage (only 1 by 1)
3) you cannot save multiple files to the cloud at once (now only iCloud support for 1 file at a time)

I don’t like the big rounded corners of the popover menus in iOS 9. It looks daft and out of place.

I also miss the response sound of Siri when you enter Siri. Even though I admit that it’s probably not necessary when you are looking at your screen anyway, I liked that additional confirmation to know that it’s listening.

The removal of some great wallpapers is really unfortunate, in particular because the new ones are so abstract.

I'm puzzled, why not just hit the home button to get you back to your first home screen? No multiple swipes, no zipping past it into search. No sarcasm intended, honest, genuinely curious.

With you on this one. I keep missing the time window to speak because we've been trained to wait for the beep and keep getting "sorry, I didn't get that".

I noticed that Siri’s comprehension is actually worse than before. I used “Hey Siri” a lot, but now I notice that it seems to discard everything I say right after “Hey Siri”. So when I say “Hey Siri, do I have new notifications” in my usual pace, it will show up als “Hey Siri new notifications”. In this case it still works, but there are ample situations where it will wrongly interpret the input. It also used to transcribe more quickly what I said, now it seems to wait for a second or two until it shows me what I said. Not sure what’s going on, I’m sure that it was more reliable before. It is definitely quicker in responding though, so that’s good.

  • I miss the Siri sound. With out it, it feels weird talking to Siri.
  • It really bothers me that the new mail icons (for delete, flag, mark as read ect.) don't show up everywhere else. They should be in Notification Center for sure. And the delete icon should be in messages when your swipe life on a message.
  • When my phones in landscape the box around the brightness slider has edges that are way too sharp. Especially because all the boxes are rounder in iOS 9.
  • It's also bothering me that the activity app no longer shows resting calories for workouts.
  • It's very annoying that even though I have character preview off the keys still pop up when I type on ANY/ALL password fields.
  • The search bar in settings says "Settings" rather than "Search"
  • I can't get to control center of notifcation center from multitasking without getting the little box with the pull arrow.
I reported most of these during the early betas. All are still present in iOS 9.1 beta 1.

Not being able to hide the favorite Contacts pictures (in the Phone app). Having to see all those initials drives me crazy :(

"Settings" vs "Search" text can actually be bothersome somehow?

Some people like consistency and attention to detail. I hate the OP now, because I cannot unsee this now. o_O
I like consistency too, and while I'll know it's there and notice it every once in a while, it'd be hard to say it's bothersome (given that that level of bothersome would imply I'd be bothered by most things in life almost all of the time given that hardly anything is perfect). I certainly understand that everyone is different, but there are degrees of it all that seem at least interesting when encountered (although I think it's fairly likely that at least sometimes if not often some things are mostly said in a hyperbolic fashion than a realistic one).

Slide over/Split View drives me nuts when reading on iBooks on my iPad. So I disabled it. Wish you could disable it when reading using iBooks . . .

The new font.
The way keyboard behaves with lower case-im finding it difficult to adjust since using it since iphone 1 came out.
the lag and jerkiness when using app manager
App store app updates cause the phone to reboot
when placing high res images as wallpaper- the photos app crashes.

Yes have to agree with swiping right to get to spotlight, no idea why they can't let us just do it from pulling down. More accessible from all home screens. Also they need to let us access spotlight from anywhere in the system, thats when we will experience its full power, maybe from notification centre? It seems pointless only allowing access from the home screen

Siri Spotlight Suggestions:
-none of my apps show up when searching
-cpu hog
-buggy/laggy
-Uses alot of battery "even on standby"
App Switcher:
-screen flickers when to many apps open
-on smaller screens it doesnt look right
-animations are terrible
Mail/Calendar
-events found in calendar do not show up
-i have never liked the way the mail app is layed out
-Cannot attach multiple files at once
Podcast:
-crashes on start up
Touch ID:
-Turned touch id to unlock off because the animation is choppy
Keyobard:
-
again the animations are choppy and laggy
-theres times where the lower case keys do not show untill you are half way done typing "animations problematic"
-the pop up animation
-emoji keyobard gives a washboard like effect when scrolling.

I wish you could customize control center. Why can't there be a way to put Vibrate ON/OFF in control center?
See it's all the little things we want that Apple can't give us, but yet jail breaking can, I didn't want pictures in my notes, or a new app switcher, or a new search screen, iOS 8.4 was fine, just needed little "tweaks" to make it that much better and Apple knows that they could eliminate jail breaking, so why not do it?

You can access spotlight on any home screen, doing so also makes the keyboard pop up, making it easy to quickly search for something.
Swiping right to spotlight doesn't automatically open the keyboard, this way there's more room in the screen for Apple's attempt at a Google now alternative.

Also, I hate it that I can't download office files from safari anymore.
