I was watching an episode of "Due South" the other day and a Dire Straits song started playing. Amazing tune, brilliant lyrics.
I realized that I havent heard much of their music... and now, i really want to.

Absolutely brilliant track, agreed.
But, then, I like Dire Straits.
I'm really enjoying the improved sound quality of my Bose QC35's for there tracks. The quieter bits without all that hiss of cheap headphones.

Listening to several tracks from Azymuth, a splendid Brazilian jazz-funk band from the early 70s; I had the unexpected, rare and wonderful privilege of seeing (and hearing) them play - live - around 15 years ago in a pub in my home town.

Now, for some super British 90s classic pop: A few from Blur: First up, their terrific album "Parklife", followed by their superb subsequent album, "The Great Escape".
Tracks (from Blur) such as "The Universal", "This Is A Low", "Parklike", "Badhead", "The Debt Collector", "End Of A Century", "Far Out", "Mr Robinson's Quango", "Ernold Same", "Country House", "Stereotypes", "Yuko and Hiro" - among others - have all stood the test of time.

Five years ago today, Robin Gibb died and the Bee Gees era came to an end. I saw them in concert many years ago at the old Capitol Center in DC. One of the best concerts I've ever seen.
