Today has been a Queens of the Stone Age -sort of day. Unfotrunately no sailing, though, smooth or otherwise.

UK alt-rock band Babel from the mid-00s, singing ‘Daylight Lost’ on their Pearl Street Raga album from 2007. Can’t always find stuff from this album on YouTube but the particular track’s up there now (audio) and it's one I do like. I scarfed it up to get ready for the darn rainstorms incoming... the nerve of such weather on a holiday weekend!

Crud, not available on YT here, and I can't seem to find it anywhere else online either. Oh well, your post reminded me of a band I haven't listened to in a very long time, but remember liking way back when I last listened to them. Also from the UK, an alt-rock band called The Cooper Temple Clause. Now what's really interesting, or actually really not that interesting, is that I just now had to run to the basement and look for the CD in my storage locker, but after fumbling around for a bit I did find it, which was a surprise. "See This Through and Leave" the CD is called, and the track "Amber" is one that I have fond memories of.

Nice wrap on the Amber track... sounded like someone resurrected Gary Moore's trademark blues guitar for the purpose. Went over to Apple Music and fished the album out!

Gee that Pearl Street Raga album's definitely on Spotify here, but not on Pandora. Apple Music even has some of their later albums, the ones with Italian names. Loved Pearl Street Raga though. Thanks for The Cooper Temple Clause mention. I'm liking that album.

So switching it up on a rainy Sunday, fishing out a song I heard as part of a compilation back in 2007, Rumer singing Slow. It was in some compilation called A Very Magistery Valentine. Here it's in a studio video that I ended up liking better than a later "official" video...
