I'm trying to resist buying a 13" Macbook Pro to see if the Macbook Air replacement will be enough for me. September announcement can't come soon enough.

Right now I'm trying hard to stop myself buying a Samsung Note 9, succeeding so far.

You and me both.

Mainly and iOS guy through and through but that screen is mesmerizing and love the battery life it can offer.

Holding on strong to see this X+ that is rumored.

I've been on both iOS and Android since about 2008 now so I have no specific OS bias, usually one of each yearly if not more but I'm really trying to stop now. Happy with my Pixel 2 XL for the moment!

Airpods. Which is strange as I've just received (well a couple of months ago) a pair of Bose QC35II which are great but in the heat they make my ears sweat :( so I keep thinking about airpods.

The McLaren took 5 months to pay off. I'm thinking if I save for double that, I can get one of these next:

In a coffee shop.
Berserker Viking special forces t shirt from grimfrost. I don’t like the Shieldmaiden and Valkyrie designs, and I continue to be drawn to berserker lore anyway.

Have you read Robert Jackson Bennett's excellent "Divine Cities" trilogy?

City of Stairs, City of Blades and City of Miracles.

One of his characters is very much in the berserker tradition (this is an exceptionally well written trilogy, with great stories, excellent magic systems, terrific female characters, and an utterly compelling (male) berserker).

No. Thank you for the recommendation! :)

Oh, that was a temptation I couldn't resist a long time ago, as soon as they were available to buy in the retail stores! Loving my Space Grey BT keyboard and Mouse..... Somewhere in a thread on here I posted a photo of how nice my desk looks with them, even though my current MBP is silver, not Space Grey......

You'll have to buy a new MacBook Pro to get it all to match!

I haven't decided yet about whether to just hang on to my iPhone X or go with whatever the new version is that will be announced tomorrow. Much depends upon how many compelling new features and functions are added. Definitely not going to buying a new iPad this year; bought that last year and am quite happy with the current configuration, functions and features. Since I'm still thinking about both a new 2018 MBP and a new Sony full-frame camera (with at least two new lenses) I can hold off on other things.

I'm on a 7+, so bit of a no brainier for me. I tend to upgrade every other year.
I think if you upgrade every year, you don't see that much of a difference.
You get less and less benefits with every generation whatever you do.

I used to always say as the keynote/iPhone announcement event approached, "THIS year I'm not going to buy a new iPhone...." and then Apple would offer something so enticing and tempting in the way of new features or functionality that I just couldn't resist, and BOOM, there I'd be, buying one anyway! I've only had one year when for some reason that I don't recall now, I didn't update to the new phone. I've stopped saying that I am planning not to get the new phone, as chances are I will anyway! My friends don't even ask me any more.....

I love my iPhone X and seriously, Apple is going to have to offer some really exciting new features or functions that will nudge me into updating.....won't be the iPhone X Plus, though, as one of the things I like the most about my iPhone X is its smaller size with the larger screen.

My old eyes need a + size!

I had the 6+, 6s + and the 7+ but really found them just a wee bit too large for my small hands and I missed being able to carry my iPhone comfortably in my pocket or purse. When the iPhone X was available, I went over to the store a day or two later and looked at the display models, comparing the screen size to my iPhone 7 + screen and found that I was fine with the iPhone X, so when they finally became available in my local store for purchase, I got one. I will see what the new features and functions are going to be on the iPhone X updated model.....and then get one if I just can't resist. :)

It will be interesting to see what Apple has in store tomorrow, and in the Ocbober event, should that come to pass. I would like a new iMac, even though I pretty much have my ancient mid 2010 27” iMac dialed in to do whatever I need it to do.
So I suppose I’m resisting a new iMac.

An iPad Pro is in the works, but my resistance to that is really low. I’ll probably get one. Just need to decide on which size and storage configuration.

As for big stuff, there are a couple of things that have crossed my mind, but one keeps nagging at me.
A car. Won’t say what kind, but the model starts with an “H” and ends with a “T.”
