I can relate, Tranceking26: I kinda/sorta want a 13" M1 MacBook Pro, too.....it's tempting, so tempting....!!!! I don't need it, I've got a perfectly wonderful 2018 MBP which is my primary workhorse machine and I've got a sweet little 12" MacBook which is terrific for travel and for using in various places around the house (the MBP is plugged into an external monitor). I keep telling myself, "NO! I do NOT NEED an M1 MacBook Pro!!!" I just bought a new car last month and I have other priorities which should take precedence over buying a new computer, but, oh, it's so tempting..... I could rationalize buying a new iPhone 12 Pro easier than justify buying a 13" M1 MBP.....and I've so far managed not to succumb to the siren song of the new iPhone....

I want the M1 13" MacBook Pro!

1) It is the very first Apple Silicon MacBook Pro.
2) It is cheaper than the Late 2008 13" MacBook that I bought in Feb 2009(Still works very well with Mojave).

Easy to resist. Google midlife crisis bikers and then imagine yourself in leathers and think, is that a good look. Then Google motorcycle accident victims.
But yes I have had similar thoughts myself!
You’re quite right, it is not that hard to resist. I’m actually forcing myself to consider it - I need something out of work, work, work. It would be mainly for weekend use: the odd ride, going to the gym, etc. The wife says do it, I say 🤔

Work and more work. Yup that sounds familiar. I’ll start my second shift of the day in a bit.

I need one. My 2017 battery is in bad shape, I hate this keyboard and Apple will offer me $420 for a trade in. Might just bite the bullet and do it.
I would say that since M1 has been released $420 is not a bad trade in value for a 2017 machine with a bad battery.

I watched a ton of reviews last night and a lot of posts for feedback and seems this M1 MacBook Air is a real winner in terms of performance and battery life.

Pulled the trigger and should expect it next week. I guess I need to move to the "recently purchased thread" :)
