What am I trying to keep myself from buying? AirPods Max. I’m sure the price will come down some day and they don’t even support spatial audio on the Apple TV 4K yet. All of that being said, I’m failing at restraining myself. Sigh!

Any place but here or there....
Well, so much for trying not to buy. Just trying not to buy it right now. (I follow affinity on Twitter and missed that this came out during their extended Black Friday sale.)

Of Serif’s Affinity software, I‘ve been most eager to learn Publisher through their workbook tutorials.

Received some extra money today, so I caved.

I’m still on the iPhone 7 and was about the pull the trigger on the iPhone 11 before Covid.

I haven’t needed a new phone since being mostly stuck at home (main issue was battery life drain with cellular data) so I didn’t get the 11, but I’m now eyeing the 11 Pro really seriously.

That 5.8” screen is truly perfect for me. Not too big, not too small. Plus OLED & a telephoto camera are amazing features.

Unfortunately, I was hoping for it to get much cheaper than it did actually get after the 12 lineup released.

So my budget still says 11, but my heart says 11 Pro 😅

Not available to order online (anymore?) and I really don’t need another bag. I don’t carry bags now much but when I do it’s big bags or small clutches.

its also not available via store locator so I’m taking that as a sign.

^ MSI Raider Dragon Tiamat edition (Such a cool looking laptop). If it was an Ancient Asian theme I’d buy in a heartbeat, but this is quite nice. I do not game, but could use a bigger screen, more RAM than my M1 MBP. I realize I probably will need a PC laptop so... might as well get one I’d like enough to actually use.

^Flirting with trying to learn bass guitar again. So this short scale Epiphone SG is sort on my radar. Not sure how I feel about one pick up though. This is an in the clouds thing as finishing school comes first.

and I’ve gone back and forth with this Wu Song figure for over 18 months now. It’s finally in stock..

Catskill Mountains
Resisting purchase of anything short of perishables occasionally re-upped via Instacart until approximately April.

I got tired of ordering stuff delivered by FedEx or UPS in winter that occasionally (and at random) ended up on my front porch instead of requested rear door. Front door is not in use during winter, there's no path shoveled to it and it beats hell out of me why anyone would slog through as much as 18" of snow (and then up unshoveled steps to an unshoveled porch) when there are shoveled paths from both plowed driveways to the rear deck and the deck door even left open for delivery as a courtesy on the appointed day.

My response after a couple winters of that BS and having to schlep stuff around to the back door myself --meanwhile having to use the bootprints of the courier to get myself to the front porch from the driveway --having no intention to shovel out a path to a door not used in winter!-- is that I simply don't buy anything from November through March. To hell with my piece of shared responsibility for a consumer-based economy during 41.7% of the year... let the vendors wonder.

Really? This is the question? LOL.

The M1 MacBook Pro, the newer iPad Pro and iPhone, along with a few accessories. I got a new job paying a much better salary as a UI/UX Designer a few months ago, should help by the end of the year to start getting some of these things. Being skilled at this job and having the boss confidence on my skills helps a lot...
