My 14" (Max 10c/24gc/32G/512G) ordered on October 23rd is still stuck on "Processing" with an estimated delivery dates between 11/30 and 12/07 ... however my card has been charged yesterday evening ... maybe it's gonna get here earlier than I expect it
It’s still stuck on “Processing”, but I hav different configuration.
My order for 16" Max 64GB 2TB from the 19th October (Australia), was due for delivery 17th-24th November. So starting from today. But now has been updated to 6-8weeks time. Same time frame as if I were to order one now. It's like I've been pushed to the back of the queue.
Same configurations as yours, just that I ordered a 14” inch one. Mine is still “in processing”. Hopefully it is just an error for you with this big delay.

Hey everyone!
My October 18 order FINALLY came in today, Nov 16, almost a month later ?

Summary of my experience:
  1. When Apple says "Preparing to Ship" it normally takes 1-3 days to charge your card, your bank will show "Pending Charge".
  2. Once your card has been charged, they'll ship the very next day.
  3. It takes roughly a week for delivery if your carrier is UPS.
    a. If Apple is shipping your order ahead of schedule, shipping will take longer.
    b. If Apple is shipping your order behind schedule, they'll ship it slightly faster.

I've edited my original posts, left a post quote below with detail of order info + ship time for the curious, also a screenshot of UPS tracking. In the mean time, I need to get a move on my trade-in asap.

Have a happy holiday season!
My 16" Max 64Gb 2Tb ordered Oct.18Th arrived yesterday as well, quite a mounth to get it

I ordered the 14 inch M1 8 CPU 14 GPU 32 RAM 1 TB SSD on October 27th. My estimated delivery date was between December 1st and 8th. My package just shipped today and the new estimated delivery date is this Thursday November 18th. I’m excited. ?

I’ve been charged yesterday afternoon. 14’ / m1 Max / 32 GPU cores.
Estimate delivery date is 6th December and 18th December.

But my status is the same since yesterday. How long does it take to get a tracking number ?

Mine (ordered Oct 19, 16'' Max 64GB 2TB) showed Nov 16-23 all the time. Today it has moved forward to "preparing to ship", but delivery date slipped into Dec (1-3)
Yay! Good news:
1. it moved forward to "shipping"
2. for whatsoever reason it is already in Eindhoven = Netherlands which is 1 day to Germany
3. it is shipped with DHL which is far better than UPS
So finally 1 day between "preparing to ship" and "shipping"

They decided to update my delivery window for my SG 16” 32/32/1 from November 18-26 to November 29-December 6. Ordered October 20 heading to the northeast U.S.

It literally never gets better. ?
Update: so it’s supposed to come on the 23rd now. Delivery by DHL. On the 16th it looked like it came from Shanghai and landed in the Cincinnati, Ohio hub. Customs status is cleared.

But there’s been no word since then. I was hoping I might get it a bit earlier (yesterday, the earliest original assessment, would’ve been awesome) but as DHL doesn’t deliver on weekends if it doesn’t come today the earliest it’ll come is Monday.

I called their 800 number and it seems to be staffed entirely by robots. The robot says “it’s on a truck today” with no further information. The humans have taught them well.

I think at least one guy in SoCal was also in my delivery pallet. He got his yesterday.

This hasn't been my experience so far. My card was charged two days ago but the order is still listed as processing status. I'm in Europe, though, so maybe there is a difference.

I was lucky not to experience that for both of my orders. I’ve also had pending charges disappear and reappear on my card with a different date ? May be a difference with international banks and buyers too.

Well, the status of my order has moved to preparing fo ship! I don’t understand Apple’s way of charging your card, though.

Three days ago my bank informs me of a large purchase. I check, and it’s Apple and the charge is listed as pending. No movement on the order for three days.

Now today it moved to preparing to ship, but the pending charge has since been removed from my card.

I guess they will charge it again once shipped, but I don’t understand why they didn’t just keep the money now instead of letting the pending payment expire and then charging it again.

I think Apple tries to avoid any customer complaints by only charging exactly after the item has left their hands. Especially large monetary purchases made on credit cards. Interests start to accrue the day of.

I have no proof of this, but that's my guess ?

Yeah, that’s possible! It’s just kind of funny with so many large pending purchases coming on and off my card from Apple. ?
