Yahoo! Pending charges on my card today for both AppleCare and my 16” Max 32gb 2tb silver in the US. My order placed on Oct 28 and originally slated for Dec 8-15 arrival. I’m guessing now it’ll be here Thursday of this week.

Finished conducting my trade-in and still in the middle of setting up my MBP. I'm doing a clean install and not using Migration Assistance. Also had to upgrade most of my apps and make new software/app purchases to setup my work flow.

So far I'm seeing 20-30gbs of ram usage for regular things like file transfers, wiping external hard drives, having all my background apps open, safari 3-4 tabs, apple mail, etc... have not tested Pro apps like Motion, FCP, Photoshop, Blender. I will have to wait for Modo and zBrush to be available native for M1, which I think will take awhile. My memory usage is always in the green, and no swap usage.

The 2021 MBP is well worth the wait. I'm very happy with my purchase so far and I think everyone here with our custom BTO orders will be as well :)

Did anyone place a CTO order through a reseller outside of the US? I ordered mine (14" 10/512gb/32gb) on October 19 and my reseller cannot even give me an estimate other than "unlikely before January".

Wow.. the waiting is killing me. I have 3 more days of command-r'ing on the status page.
I did update my workspace with a new 4k LG ergo 32" monitor and new cable management.
Sooooo ready for this !

Orderd:25th of october 2021
MacBook Pro 16" M1 Max 10, 10‑core CPU, 32‑core GPU, 32 GB memory, 1 TB SSD

Delivery time is between 23 Nov and 30 Nov

Absolute debacle on delivery here in Sydney, Australia. Received a delivery notification from Apple this morning that my $AU7000 machine has been delivered. Signed for by an unfamiliar name, with only one additional tracking entry since Shanghai. I then check tracking with DHL the delivery company, it is also showing as delivered.

Obviously the first reaction is sheer f**king panic.

In a stand alone house. It's a Sunday, the entire family have been here all day. We have video cameras. No one, nothing. No porch piracy here.

I get on the phone to Apple who really offer minimal assistance, other than encouraging me to call the courier company and suggesting that it might be at the post office. Ummm.. it's Sunday in Australia and all post offices are closed.

So I call DHL who say oh yes, we have had a "few calls" about this. The tracking number that Apple have provided is in fact the "pallet" and yes it has been delivered in Sydney and signed for by persons unknown.

I then ask the courier what I should do about my delivery and how on earth I should track it from this unknown delivered location to my house. DHL tell me flatly that I can't. I then ask then when I should expect it delivered? They say "we don't know". I then ask them when I should be concerned about it being missing or stolen!?!? They say give it about a week and it will probably show up!

Are. You. Kidding. Me?

So I am sitting here with a "delivered" computer according to both Apple and DHL, but no ETA on delivery and no idea where it is, in transit, missing, stolen or otherwise.

To say that I am rope-able is an understatement.

This is the poorest customer experience that I have ever had with Apple. Fancy sending out a super expensive laptop without proper tracking! Ridiculous!!! I am so mad at Apple right now!!!!

Seems that DHL is entirely at fault here and Apple just chose them for speed.

This sort of news makes me worry about the coming DHL delivery of my MacBook Pro as well.

I can DEFINITELY empathize.

Within moments of the unveiling, I placed my order, Oct 18. I also purchased AppleCare+. I was delivered a defective 16" M1Pro on Nov 1: bottom 3/4" of screen was flickering. Calls made within one hour of delivery. By Nov 2, the screen went totally dark. I returned the unit to them on 11/2, per their instructions. They received it Nov 4, and verified the malfunction Nov 5. My "replacement" was on "processing" starting Nov 3, with an "arrival" date of Dec 8 - Dec 15. I am coming up on my second Apple Card payment. Still "processing".

Really interesting to know about the replacement. I wonder if they captured it for analysis.

Ordered from Adorama on 15th Nov. for delivery to MyUS. Delivery sometime in the first half of Dec. 14” 10/1TB/32GB. Yours should be sooner than that.

My order FINALLY moved to "preparing to ship". How long does it usually take to ship after this point?

It still says Arrives Nov 22 - Nov 30 which I highly doubt is even possible.
