I had thought about ordering the Suti but the site says is 44g (pro) or 52g (pro max). Is it really that heavy? That seems off for just a back to weigh more than most cases.

I have the nano suede phoneback for my 16 PM, and I just weighed it at 38 grams. So, I guess it could be that heavy, but it feels like nothing on my PM. It would obviously make a bigger difference on the Air. I haven't ordered any cases yet for my Air. Edited to add that the heaviest part is probably the magnet in there!

I’m thinking im going to grab the bumper when i pick my phone up but i wont daily it. I keep going back and forth about screen protector is my main thing now.

going to keep it caseless with insurance. Every case is ugly on this phone
Reasonable strategy.. I "suppose" in the event it were scratched more heavily than you would like. It might then slip out of your hand and face damage that would require replacement

That’s definitely better than 52, thanks.
I had the nomad leather back for my 15pro and it was 30 grams but I wasn’t crazy about the leather feel. I decided to order this one from target because I can easily take it the store and return it if I don’t like it.

The biggest downside compared to the Nomad back would be that it's 4mm thick per their website. Think the Nomad back comes in at 2mm thick. That keeps the phone slimmer than any of the other models, even with the back on.

I’ve been on the hunt for the thinnest, low profile case for my Air which is arriving tomorrow. I also purchased an Apple Bumper case I most likely will return. I also bought a Lonli leather case which has a crooked button and isn’t slim enough (no leather case probably will be). Lastly, I have a Grecazo here (not pictured), but concerned the titanium sides will get all scratched up.

I am surprised the JetTech(pictured in green) in person is thinner then the X-Level (pictured in Grey). Plus the JetTech has built in MagSafe. You can also see the X-Level has a higher camera bump and doesn’t provide complete protection.

Happy with the protection from the Andar Aspen. I dropped my Air ofcourse within a couple hours of getting it. I had the Andar Aspen in Navy blue case on the Air and it landed right on the corner and tore a hole through the leather and exposed the reinforcing mesh material behind the leather. Though the case looks like garbage but it did its job. The phone was completely unharmed. This was a cement floor from about 3-3.5 feet. The cement was rough too so I can see why the case tore right to the mesh reinforcing material.

Apple Frost case with a California Poppy Leather Wallet. The warm Poppy colour looks nice against the Sky Blue of the Air.

Received the Air yesterday, but only today I could install it and start using it. I’m using a Lonli dark green leather case. (Amazon). It’s made of Vachetta leather. The case is very good for an unknown brand (at least I never heard of them). Smells and feels good soft. Same color green aluminium around the camera bump. Good working buttons everywhere, including camera control. I really like it.

Here are some photos.

I convinced my husband to ditch his 16 Plus for the Air. We went to the Apple Store this am and while he was doing his trade in i tried out the Apple bumper case on my Air. I love it. It offers the protection im looking for without the extra bulk. It looks really good with the strap too. My husband is really sold on the strap.

I’ve tried about 6 cases so far and this one is my favorite. Keep in mind, it doesn’t fully protect the sides and quality control isn’t the best. I’ve decided the Air is just too nice to have a case, so I have AppleCare and just ordered Dbrand leather skin as I miss the feel of my old Apple leather case.

People buying the iPhone Air, are you buying the battery as well. I was going to wait and see if the battery life can handle my normal day of usage.
Yes, I’ve bought the Anker Nano powerbank battery for my Air. Although, like you I’m testing my Air without the Nano for now so that I can get a realistic idea of how long one charge will last me. I only charge to 80% though.

The Nano looks really good as it’s black the same as my Air and fits really nicely on the ESR Clear case I have fitted to my Air. Also applied an ESR Armourite screen protector which went on flawlessly 🤓

So far I’ve tried the clear apple case, the bumper and this le pelle leather case from Amazon. Not a fan of the apple clear case. The bumper is nice but a little slippery. I really like the leather case the best so far but at 36 grams it does take away some of the airiness of the air. I got the blue mist color and it’s really a stone grey navy color. I think it looks great. It’s still thinner and lighter than my 15pro with a leather case.
