In all honesty, I’m not crazy about the color either. The case is just very well made. I should have gone with black. Like I said, they offered me a replacement and I really didn’t want to go through the hassle. I should have known better than to order the red but hindsight is always 20/20.

I think it looks great! I have the black and like it, but it is a little boring.

I have my moments where I like it and moments where I’m not so crazy about it. It depends on the lighting. Looks best in a soft/warm light. Just wish it was a shade or two darker. I work in a steel mill so I’m sure it will darken up over time from all of the filth

Ok, i got mine for free so can't complain too much. It's definitely faulty its like a wave along the sides.

They have 2 year warranties so you could probably get a replacement. They were willing to replace mines just because I said it didn’t fit. I ended up just using it instead and now it’s perfect. Very thankful I didn’t get a refund like I was intending to

I got it off Amazon and they refunded me and said keep it, so can't do a warranty claim. I prefer the Sheath anyway, bit slimmer and has bottom protection, and full camera coverage on the back.

How is the fit? My biggest gripe with “softer” cases is that the sides can lift off the case. For example, the sides of my current tpu clear case will pull off the case very easily especially whenever taking off of my car vent mount. Makes me nervous that the phone can pop out easily on a fall.

I have a Red Sheath and I ordered a Lucid Clear. I will say that the Red is a little brighter than I wanted. They offered to exchange it for me but I decided to keep it anyway. The grip is much improved over that of the Sheath for my old iPhone 7. The old one held up so well that I had to buy one for my XR. I also read that the Lucid Clear is pretty slick but I ordered one anyway. Never really a fan of clear cases but decided to get one since I bought the red XR.

I don’t know if I’ll ever buy another case other than Caudabe. For being as low profile as they are, they offer great protection from my experience over the last 2.5 years

I would never worry about this pulling off or the phone popping out of it. It’s considered a soft case, and even though it is flexible, it’s still fairly stiff. The fit is great. It’s tight yet it’s still easy to take off if you start at a bottom corner. I have dropped my XR once with it on from about 3 feet on the upper right hand corner with no damage to the case or phone. I know that’s not a big fall and not one to judge how much protection it will provide but that’s about a normal height for me if I get a case of butter fingers or if I’m ever wearing sweatpants and it slips out of my pocket(happened many times). Like I said before, I had this case on my iPhone 7 for around 2 years. My daughters(3 and 1) dropped that thing regularly and the only marks on that phone was from where it was dropped with a Peel case on it. The case still looks great.

If you do decide to purchase one and you don’t like it, they will take it back. They have excellent customer service. You may have to wait a day or two if you reach out by email but they will follow up, or you could always call. I’ve spoken with Jessica there a few times recently and she was willing to go above and beyond to make it right. All because because I really wasn’t sure if I wanted to keep the red and exchange it for black.

I know cases are all a matter of personal preferences, but to me, this will always be my “Go To” case. My Lucid Clear will be here tomorrow but I doubt I will use it as much as I do the Sheath because I hear it’s pretty slick.

The fit of the sheath is excellent. It takes a little force to remove the case when you want to take it off. There’s no way the case would accidentally pop off.

I’m actually shopping for some more colors, thinking Olive, tan and a red case. I’ve heard of the tapering bottom issue on other brands but with my Mujjo it does cover the phone completely from top to bottom thankfully.

Regarding the stickiness, over time my case has grown to be very soft and sticky. It feels almost as if my phone has an organic “skin”. I’ve never used a leather case until now and I can see the reason why this kind of case is enjoyed because it evolves overtime.

I'm looking into getting this one.....is it bulky? Trying to find a leather case that doesn't add too much bulk.

Just grabbed the Otterbox Vue in Smoke/Black and the Spigen Silicone Fit. Both great fitting and feeling cases. Spigen case feels like an exact clone of the official Apple silicone case for other iPhones. First time using either brand since the 5S due to not being a big fan of the slippery feeling of both brands on the 6 Plus so I stayed away.

what colour phone do you have?

Got the ringke fusion and the Fusion-Xtoday.

Really like both. I like the grip the fusions squared edges gives. I also like that the band is dark blue so doesn’t jar against the black bezels but the back is still open so you can still see the colour. It also doesn’t add as much bulk as I thought it would. Bur it definitely feels solid and tough.

The standard fusion in blue is OMHO practically the perfect clear case. It’s not slippy (it’s not super grippy but it’s not slippy), it shows the colour of the phone. Has the dot matrix to stop the rainbow effect. And it feels like it would actually protect the phone in a drop.

I’ve so far got 12 cases for my Xr. But I think these two, and the slim ESR case will be in regular rotation. It’s a shame I can’t find the Caudabe Sheath in cobalt blue in the UK. I have the dark blue and I love the fit and feel but hate that it hides the blue of my phone completely.

Hopefully I’m done with cases for a while at least.

I’m considering going from my X to and XR.

Anyone use it know of a decent black leather case, without a lip at the bottom, as close to as good as the Apple cases for it??

I am using the OB Moderne statement Black leather from Apple, i really like it but makes the phone wider of course.
Guess the Vue would be similar width.
The Vue isn’t bulky so I don’t feel it brings extra width at all.

I have a Black Mujjo, probably as good as you will get in similar price range, otherwise Vaja/Piel Frama but more $$.

I have a Mujjo leather case for my iPhone XR, but unfortunately they don't have the (much more tactile) aluminum buttons that I loved on my iPhone 7 leather case. I saw an unofficial "Apple" leather case for the iPhone XR on AliExpress for about 10 EUR and I decided it's worth a shot.

After a few days, I'm actually pretty content with it. It's advertised as being actual leather (as opposed to PU leather) and the buttons feel slightly cold in the morning so they seem to be made of actual aluminum (or some other type of metal).

Since it's not an official Apple product I won't post a link, but I assume that the information above should allow you to find it fairly quickly after a quick search on AliExpress.

I didn't get the Muijo due to the lack of metal buttons so I picked up the Sena leather case instead. Great case and really like it but the metal buttons are silver for some reason and dont match the color of the case. Still looks good but I would have preferred black buttons with my black case.

Are the sides straight?

I want a Apple folio like for the X.

That looks as good as the Apple cases.

Good find.

Just curious if the case is soft and grippy? I’ve seen the listing on Aliexpress (and EBay) before but just never got it.
