Congrats on lucking out.

So since it literally covers every part of the phone except the screen, and I dropped it and the phone still works and is has zero damage, it definitely provides more than scratch protection.

It doesn't provide screen protection which is why I installed a glass screen.

If you're the type to drop your phone a lot and are in a situation where your phone tends to get banged up a lot there better options that provide a thicker layer of protection than this thin, hard case.

Got this yesterday, I love it so much. I have AppleCare+ and I'm not really that clumsy with my phone so we'll see. If I notice I drop it a little more, I'll swithc back to the official Apple Silicone case.

I always buy Desmay since iPhone 5. Very thin and not bulky. For iPhone 7 I buy Slight 7 from Desmay. I feel no difference if with or with no case, but my phone is protected against scratch (I have jet black iPhone 7).
I love this case very much!

Massimo

PS: Sorry for bad English

FRONT: D&P Ultra Clear 3D E2E glass - no issues.
BUMPER: Thanotech K11, Black - the bumper has some play on the sides but not too concerned.
BACK: BestSkinsEver full, glossy - many bubbles and dust after dry install. Re-installed wet with soap 1 day after dry install with no issues. Grip is good. The Thanotech K11 install becomes tight and volume up button lost its "click". I ended up cutting away the BSE tab between VolUp and Mute buttons. OK now. Just be carefull when re-installing the K11 as it may peel around the edges.

Note: BSE did pull ink off the "iPhone" on the back of the phone.

You do realize that all these new MagPul cases are Defective and cover up 4 of the 16 speaker holes on the bottom of the iPhone 7 Plus. Did you get this case directly from Magpul or from Amazon?

Gee, who wants 4 of their iPhone 7 Plus speaker holes covered up? Not Me.

Can't believe that Magpul is this late to the party and the cases are defective.

Defective Magpul on top UAG Monarch on bottom:
Yeah I realized that after I posted the review up. I might do an updated review talking about that since it has been brought to my attention so many times.

I thought that this is a joke when I found this Coffee case online LINK. But as a huge coffee lover, I had to order one. So far very impressed. You can even literally smell a coffee from a case. It will be interesting to know, how long smell will actually last...

Bought an Amazon Basics clear case... it was $3.50... seems to have bumper protection on the corners of the phone... there was a slight rainbow effect on the apple logo on the back (i have the matte black) at first but it's gone now...

Will let you guys know if it yellows...

Now if only I'd remembered how much visible dust in my case bugs me before i got a clear case

Just picked up this case.

Pretty much checks off every box on my list except keeping the bulk to an absolute minimum.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01N3OVKHI/ref=yo_ii_img?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  • Drop protection
  • Kick stand
  • Grippy
  • Built in magnet mount plate
  • Low cost
  • Minimal branding
Only possible con is that the clear case will eventually start to yellow. I hope they come out with a solid color version.

I borderline feel like the 7 plus is already at the maximum comfort size so even though I'd like to get a thicker case I opted for a thin case that would at least provide protection for a drop of a few feet and cover every angle but the screen.

I use this case plus a glass screen protector.View attachment 691879
Saw this case in your post and bought it on impulse (same-day delivery through Amazon Prime ftw!).

So pleasantly surprised with how good this case is (for my needs, at least). I've been using the ultra-slim cases such as the Caudabe Veil XT and the Tozo ones and have been annoyed at how these cases warp and stretch over time and start to feel loose in fit. This case isn't as slim, but it's pretty damn close considering it's a hard case.

I'd compare it to the Ringke slim with less of a lip (zero lip, actually, but that's just my preference) and much better port and camera cut-outs.

My only niggle would be that the buttons are not the easiest to operate. They're clicky enough, but as they are just flaps hinged at either the top or the bottom of the button, you can't press it uniformly and expect it to work. Volume up needs to be pressed at the top edge of the button and both the volume down and power button need to be pressed at the bottom edge. You soon get used to it though and it's nice to be able to feel the buttons as opposed to the Ringke Slim where it's just a cut out to access the buttons.

Thanks for the recommendation!

I've actually been using ringke brand slim cases for a while now and do agree the lay on the table lip is missing from the case I had originally posted. I might still go back to ringke if I get the urge to go back to a slim hard case.
