Wow, I went ahead and ordered the "MED". Hope it isn't too big :/

The XS is iPad size, a 11" MacBook Air won't fit which is a shame.

The small fits a 13" and has lots of room for other stuff.

The medium a 15"....

What does this do for you?

It's more of a "just in case" type of tool. It's 550 cord (breaking strength of 550 lbs) that is easily unraveled. So if you're ever in need of rope/cord you simply take it off your wrist and unbraid it. It's usually around 10 feet of cord.
