I wish my iPhone could...

- sync to my Wii so I could finish a game in the car or away from home if I wanted to

- have a phonetic Russian keyboard (I can't find an app that does that, and the only Russian keyboard it has happens to be authentic Russian, I don't know the layout, but with the work I do it would really save me some time if I could correspond with my clients qicker)

- download music and play it even if I don't want to buy it from iTunes (there are other options that are legal you know)

I will think up a dozen more I think... when I am in bed, hugging my iPhone in my sleep.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_0 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7A341 Safari/528.16)

Being able to update and backup all data on it OTA, similar to what mobileme does but extended...

nothing really... 3gs nailed it for me :D although it would be nice to have a front camera but that'll be a ways off...

1) Sync Gmail contacts OTA (without requiring Exchange, I use that for work)
2) Work with Verizon
3) Capture video in HD
4) Not suck its battery like a hungry parasite

Heheeh! I hear you!

In no particular order
1. Turn off landscape - landscape everywhere is a great option but at times it gets in the way
2. Movie syncing, say I take a movie, d/l to my mac. Play with it within iMovie. I'd love to easily sync it back to my iPhone
3. Add/alter a background image to the main display.
4. A compass because I don't know where I'm going - oh wait they did add that :p
5. improved background processing. I was initially of the opinion that we don't need it and its bad for the battery but after discovering pandora, and having it quite everything I hit the home button, or try to do something else. I've come to realize that some multitasking would be a good thing ;)

You can do this. You just have to download it to your own computer, add it to iTunes, and sync. But, I know what you mean; DL music from iPhone and directly add the mp3s to iTunes.

My biggest need: a central repository for files that can be accessed by any App (just like the photos can). This will allow us to DL a file or save an emailed attachment, and then open it up with a different App (like a doc editor). Please!!!

Multitasking.
Ability to allow some apps to run in the background for the pro users that want it. (ie, not the default)

I wish my iPhone had a better mail app, multitasking, and longer battery that could last more than half a day with heavy use. I'm sure there is more but cannot think of them right now.

To get decent cellular service :p

I'd like video chat with a front facing camera, 802.11n and possibly a new design with more screen space and complete widescreen aspect ratio.

-Automatically tell my girlfriend to stop complaining when I play "doodle jump" or "zombieville" in bed.

-Make muffins.

-Do my laundry

-Pay my bills/ evaporate my collectors

-Go grocerry shopping for me.

-Play a 2 player videogame with me, and win from time to time.

-Oh, and I'd like it to ask me how my day was for once. I also wish it would notice my new haircut and pay attention to me. Is that so much to ask? Pig! See if you ever get sex again!

Just curious, what exactly would a "pro user" be? It's just a cellphone, one that happens to focus on gaming ability. What processes would you expect that "default users" shouldn't have that "professionals" would need (besides background apps, as everyone would benefit from these)?
