iPhone wishes

1) Ability to create contact groups on the phone itself.

2) Ability to send SMS/MMS messages to a group rather than having to key in each recipient individually.

3) MMS (of course)

Am I the only one having this problem? It's incredibly frustrating.

Being that the 2G is a different size and shape than the 3G/S and that the Apple Bluetooth Headset has since been discontinued, this is not going to happen.

I purchased the dock myself to go along with my 3GS not realizing that it does not fit. (So if anyone wants one for sale, send me a PM!) I'm just glad the power cable that has the bluetooth headset slot works with the 3GS. :)

Turn text and phone calls off individually for privacy when people ask to see my phone. Airplane mode wouldn't work bc they wouldn't be able to use safari.

Reset apps with home button when they crash.

They are working on wireless power, it's called "non-radiative energy transfer" and can power devices a few meters away from the source.

How Stuff Works

They are making progress and may eventually get it.

1) MULTITASKING
2) Flash on Safari
3) Video calls (forgot the actual name)
4) Hide icons (hate the stock apps)
5) Status bar notifications (ex: SMS icon by the battery sign)
6) Custom background

Whenever some of these are available without jailbreaking I'll get the 3GS, because some of these seem like they're only possible on it.

Just curious, what exactly would a "pro user" be? It's just a cellphone, one that happens to focus on gaming ability. What processes would you expect that "default users" shouldn't have that "professionals" would need (besides background apps, as everyone would benefit from these)?

Don't forget about the "pro" users who are glad that background processes aren't downloading udates and tying up the device while we need the device for business use. It is foolish to assume everyone would benifit or like background apps.

I am glad apple stopped them. I have a few jailbroken apps that call home for updates and it bothers me to no end.

I'd like for it to be smarter about what app it starts when I unlock it. For example, if it just made the new mail sound and I unlock it, it should launch mail and go to that message.

If a song is playing in iPod, it would make sense to start there, not in the Phone app from answering a phone call 10 minutes ago.

One easy idea, multiple unlock sliders "unlock for phone", " unlock for mail", etc.

I already jailbroke and installed Intelliscreen and Intellidial which is similar to what my blackberry used to look like and a huge save of time and clicking from app to app as I get email throughout the day.

Background apps, as normal users would be going, why is my phone suddenly slow and lasting just 5 hours on standby! ;) Where pro users should be able to decide for themselves if that's a good compromise for a feature.

There is other stuff I'd like too like a terminal.app which currently needs jailbreaking...

But something that would be good for all users, would be ability to store files on the device and access them on the computer. Would be great for things like word documents and other stuff. Could download files on safari and grab them on the computer, take all your documents with you, send them as email attachments. Making the device much more useful in business applications.

Turn location services off per app, or at least remember I don't want location use on that app.

1. Work on CDMA
2. Play HD Videos
3. Radio Tuner
4. Access Email from within Apps (ie Doc editor)
5. Multitask/background apps

1. Multitasking. That sms pop-out is horrible for apps like Beejive.
What about some little bar at the top of the screen? letting you know whos writing to you or something, instead of the pop up. Let's say, your chatting with two people at the same thing, u only can see the last message. That sucks!
2. Front camera
3. Better battery
4. Customizing my phone. Icons/way to see the apps/pages, etc.
5. Stronger vibration
6. Option to turn off landscape on every apps.
7. Hide icons
8. Push in Mail. I would like to see it, like i do when i get a missed call.

And a lot more things.

-True wireless charging would rock (i.e when you walk into range of a charging AP at your house/work/where ever your phone starts charging)
-I'm all for more freedom, allowing some sort of notification system on the lock screen would rock, so would the ability to allow people to use themes or whatever. I think it's better to allow things on the phone and give people to not use them/not turn them on than to just not include them at all (such as background processes and multitasking)
-A better notification system, come on Apple! You're supposed to be the company that makes thing look good, the current notification system sucks and is far too obtrusive.
-Better battery life would be great but lets be realistic here, you can't stuff all these battery intensive processes into a phone and expect it have 15 day battery life, while still having a nice slim and aesthetically pleasing case.

Edit, oh and if I could use the task bar to turn on and off stuff like 3G, Bluetooth, etc instead of having to go through the settings.

Awesome suggestions! Would love to see any of these. One thing that I haven't heard is to be able to change the calender that a date is saved to after it has been created.
