Ended up picking up Kingdom Hearts III for $29.99 as well as Assassin Creed III remastered for $19.99.

Just shows that if you’re able to wait a few weeks/months after launch, games are much, much cheaper.

Games surely don’t hold their asking price long.

Not for trade-in, they don’t. But if you’re selling it online, you can achieve a much higher value for used games, but it also depends on the popularity of the game and how new of a release it is. What decreases the overall value of a game is primarily when it starts to age from when it was released.

I've got 5 games on the go lol, GTA III, Vice City, SA, LCS & VCS.

Pretty fun dumping the files from the PS2 discs and seeing them work with a 360 controller! :p

So in respect to all the latest titles that are now backlogging that I purchased, I’m still on the main campaign for RDR2. I think the amount of time I’ve lost for exploration has more than doubled the actual time that I’ve invested playing the actual campaign, and that’s insane when you think about the amount of craftsmanship Rockstar invested in this game.

Days Gone is dropping to $20 next month. All good things to those who wait!

I think that site has it wrong and it won't be $20. It looks like the latest hits on that list will "start" at $19.99. I'd be surprised if Days gone goes for $19.99 so soon.

Prices on those games start at $19.99

I can see how Spiderman could sell for $20 new, when it’s been available since August 2018, and yet Days Gone would sell for $20 and only has been available for less than seven weeks? Something is definitely misconstrued with that article. [If anything, I could maybe see Days Gone being discounted around $40-ish dollars.]

I was surprised too considering how new it is but if you look at this video from the official Playstation channel you see Days Gone "starting at" $19.99 at the 19 second mark grouped with God of War and Spiderman.

Understood... and I think they are being a bit sneaky with the wording. It shows all three games, then says starting at $19.99. So one of them could be $19.99 and the rest more, and the video would be accurate. I just don't see Days Gone at $19.99 so soon. I guess we'll see.

If it's $20 I'm grabbing it. If not I'm going to shake my fist at shady marketing!

Well this is different. I just got an email from Ubisoft congratulating me for finishing the main campaign of Assassin's Creed Odyssey.

I'm hoping for a big RDR2 discount. I only buy games when they're at least -50% since my backlog is huge...

I don’t know if you have a GameStop store in your country. But I’m showing it’s already on sale for roughly 50% off the MSRP, especially since the game has been released since October 2018 and been on sale multiple times for $40. You should be able find a copy for around $30 relatively easily, also, keep watch on eBay for similar discounts. [I’m also assuming you can accept purchasing used versus new as a preference.]

Well, I was playing Rise of Tomb Raider, but then was sucked in by Chernobyl on HBO so it took a back seat. Prior to that I was doing 100% Skyrim....which takes so, so long. I actually picked up an Xbox One X just for Skyrim, but Game Pass has been a great offering (especially with the friends and family MS discount).

Started playing Vampyr last night. Love the Victorian London look to it, and the music is pretty great too.

Xbox E3 is today in just a few hours. Anyone going to watch?

I have the E3 schedule posted, but I always watch the footage on YouTube after-the-fact, just because they have odd time frames of when the developers demo/announce games between my personal schedule.

Anyways, should be interesting, I’m more interested to see/hear about additional footage on Cyberpunk and Tom Clancy’s Breakpoint [Awesome Demo was released weeks back and Wildlands was an outstanding tactical shooter two years back].

Slightly disappointed Sony not participating this year, but completely understandable they don’t have any projects to demo this year, especially given all the releases they have had over the last 18 months.

If anything, I’d like to at least have some type of release date for ‘The last of us two’, as I suspect that probably won’t be until January 2020 at the earliest, but it has been rumored that game is near completion.

Me too. Plus you can immediately jump ahead to the good stuff. Really interested in the Ubisoft one.
