How are you both playing? Is she on another console and you team up?

I've been playing mostly solo and dying a lot. :(

We have two consoles, she tries co-op whenever they offer it. We've played ESO, Division, Destiny, and even Far Cry 5 like this. This is the first time that I have limited to just playing with her and not charged on ahead - she's a casual gamer.

Working on my backlog. I bought the Far Cry 5 + New Dawn bundle, but never finished Far Cry 4, so I'm just doing that now. And then obviously FC5 and New Dawn after that :)

Also playing The Division 2. Epic! I'm incredibly impressed that they took a great game and made a sequel that didn't crap all over the legacy of the original.

Had to travel back home for a few weeks; so I took my switch with me; currently hooked on ace attorney trilogy & Fighter Z

Currently: RDR2- Still so much to content to complete in that Game.

That said, I can tell you what I will be playing in less than two weeks, with the long-awaited ‘Days Gone’ (Finally after all the delays).

I didn't even realize it was that close to launch.

I'm going to be knee deep in the Atlantis DLC for AC Odyssey.

It releases on Friday, April 26. This game has been delayed I believe at least three times and has been showing content off over the last two years. Usually PlayStation exclusive‘s are very good, but I have high hopes that the developers put a lot of emphasis into this specific game. I think it’s going to be _one_ of the contenders for game of the year.

Yeah that E3 video I remember where there were a ton of enemies on the screen was really impressive. Definitely got a little Last of Us vibe from it.

Speaking of which, I would expect Naughty dog’ (LOU2 developer) to launch a date sometime this year, but I believe the earliest we will see that game would be January 2020.

The one thing I never mastered (or enjoyed) in Soulsborne games is parrying. Would I enjoy Sekiro at all?

I suck at parrying too, at least in Dark Souls, maybe a little better in Bloodborne.

In Sekiro, the parry window, called 'deflect', is pretty generous. You can even spam the deflect button with decent results.

I'm only through a few bosses, but I'm really enjoying this game so far. If you like Soulsbourne, you owe it to yourself to try Sekiro. There are enough similarities between franchises that you should feel right at home.

Preordered ‘Days Gone’ on Friday, one week to go.

[Oh, and I _never_ pre-order games unless I absolutely have a belief it’s worth my time and money. And not just because this is a PlayStation exclusive, but I truly believe the developers delayed this game to go beyond to bring a unique any experience to the player.]

PS4: No Man's Sky (to compare with new PC version coming out as well as the PSVR version coming soon)
XB1: No Man's Sky (to compare with other versions)
PC: No Man's Sky Experimental (wow, what an improvement)

I felt really burned by that game when it first came out but I've been impressed with how they continue to support it.

I'm just wondering how they're making any money - it has all been FREE and it came out before the microtransactions craze.

Maybe they've managed to sell extra copies and they added Xbox not too long ago... The PS4 goes for $15 used physical which people are scooping up who have PSVR...

Rage 2 is on the horizon debuting on May 14. Another game with decent developers on hand (Avalanche And iD Studios) that seems a combination of ‘Mad Max, Doom and borderlands’.

I’d say it’s been a solid year for releases so far, with a few disappointments with Anthem and Metro exodus, but I suspect the E3 conference will have quite a few surprises yet for 2019, without the participation of PlayStation of course, but understandably so.

I can't wait for another Cyberpunk demo.

Have you seen the weather demo? With the snow slowly making the landscape white? Really impressive...

Impressive. The fact that you actually see the snow slowly settle in over the course of time is really interesting. The only other developer that I think has weather effects that are fairly realistic is Rockstar. I know it’s frustrating when games get delayed like this one has at least two times, and it’s been in the works for at least three years, I think this title is going to deliver big-time.

For those who haven’t watched the weather video we’re referring to:

Picked it up on Friday/Installing.

Just a few things:

1.) Kind of surprised to see some of the critical reviews that are already released, mainly by the larger journalists, but I usually don’t flock to sites like IGN/GameSpot/Meta, ect, because they tend to over exaggerate and give away too many plot points about the game/storyline.

2.) The more ‘local user’ reviews actually have been very good, the only thing I’ve read so far was that there is some repetitious event/missions in the game, but I think that applies pretty much to any type of sandbox/RPG. Altogether, I will give my impressions later [Without spoilers], but I suspect this will be a fairly reputable game.
