Is there much of a story to this game? I generally don't like zombie games where the game mostly consists of things jumping out of the dark to scare you, and not much of a story to go along with it.
I wouldn't call it story-heavy, but it's not completely sparse either. I personally don't find it all that scary (I got a bigger fright from when a floorboard broke than from the zombies) as the zombies are dumb and don't make any attempt to hide so they usually won't get the drop on you. The real challenge, in my opinion, is ammo conservation.

I remember playing the original back in the day and I was such a miser with my ammo. I got burned bad in RE1 by not conserving.

I got Resident Evil 2 yesterday and it's doing a pretty good job at keeping my attention (I also played through RE1 when the PS4 version was released on PS+ a year or two ago).

I've made it into the sewers. I don't know (and don't want to know) how far through I am but I'm likely to dive back into it tonight :)
You think you can make it under 3 hours?

Well I'm at about 8 hours so far! If you know you way around then you could probably speed-run it, but it's my first time so I have no idea what I'm doing :)

Hahah same. It’s hard due to lack of ammos and herbs. I hope you replay and get that unlimited ammo!

You’re playing it sat in the dark right? On the floor is the best place.

I'm surprised that I'm actually loving Assassin's Creed Odyssey so far. I haven't played on in years. A lot of little things that annoyed me are gone. You don't die if you awkwardly jump from high because of a camera angle. Super repetitive things like pickpockets haven't show up yet. I'm glad they added the option to tweak the level scaling.

I think Fortnite is not only a great game, but one of the best games :)

I think as huge multiplier games go, it's much better than everything else. I just don't like how easy it is to get stuck in the cycle versus playing something story based. Also this season has been very hit or miss for me in terms of game breaking mechanics. (Sword and overpowered planes anyone?)

I just finished it (as Leon). I'll probably try it as Claire at some point, but that won't be today :)

In the original game when you did your second playthrough you would encounter remnants of your "other" self. For example, Claire found items Leon left in a locker. That was a cool touch.

Smash. Oh the joy. So much fun. 60 hours already. Will probably spend hundreds of hours on it.

Love the roaster. So much variety.

I played the original RE games, but then found RE 6 to be terrible and I never returned to any newer stuff. Do you recommend this game?

I've only played the remakes of 1 and 2, but I do recommend it. It's been a long time since I've felt a drive to complete a game in a weekend, so that's got to be a good thing!

I picked up Civ VI for the switch the other day and surprisingly enough the controls translate pretty well and the game runs great. I think it's a great purchase if you have the time to devote to it. The games @ 500 turns do take a while, and I currently am trying to figure out how to maximize on the research trees to get to aircraft and such. I seem to start strong, but get lost in so many different cities that I can't quite get the endgame.

That's how I am too. Unless it's something earth-shattering I have plenty of time to just wait for sales. I'm looking at you RDR2.

That one too

I need to wait for a sale which will be in forever because it’s selling like hot cakes but I also need to clear backlog or it will sit on my shelf for full price

I just downloaded the free trial of Final Fantasy XIV for the PS4 and WOW, such a cool game! I don't play on my macbook because gets warm and the fans kick in which I don't like.

FF XIV is an MMORPG (a massively multiplayer role playing game). The world is so huge and it's a bit overwhelming controlling everything because it was made for keyboard and mouse, but you can still do everything with a ps4 controller.

So much work went into this game it's really cool even at low levels. Will probably take me years to get to max level.

I'm also playing skyrim on the switch.
